KSW-12 Sub, not working correctly/or at all

That's a good news that it works...But, I'm skeptical, for how long, as it doesn't sound right that you have to fool it or in other words work on it before you can use it. Reading other posts seems like unreliable operation of the Klipsch subwoofers. $60 many be not much only if they really fix the issue. If you send it to Klipsch, they play it and if sounds good at the time of testing may lead them to believe that there is no issue with your subwoofer. May be you should explain and make them understand that this can infact happen and if that's the case will they refund the shipping and repair cost.

Well I gave klipsch a call this morning, and I must say I am very very pleased with their customer service/tech support. The rep was very knowledgable and thorough. Their shipping me out a brand new replacement AMP for about $112. Definitely cheaper than buying a whole new sub. According to the rep it's a pretty simple replacement process, basically 10 screws to remove and then from there it's just plug and play. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks.

Well all is well with my new amp.. Hopefully this will last me a long time, because honestly if it doesn't, I will never buy another Klipsch product again.

And this holds true today! I will never ever buy a Klipsch product again! I Finally upgraded to a Polk SW. The sub woofer that I initially had all these years just never worked right, regardless of even replacing the amp. I’m amazed that I dealt with this all these years.

My sub isn’t working, or at least
working correctly. I have it connected to my receiver via the LFE using an rca
cable. My sub will get power, and the light will turn green recognizing a 5.1
signal. The problem is, I don’t get anything out of it except an occasional
hard pop/thump. The speaker isn’t blown either. When I turn the volume up and down,
I will usually get a loud bass pop from it. It almost seems as if as soon as it
gets a signal and makes some sound, it just cuts off. I checked the fuse, and
it’s fine. My receiver is definitely outputting enough signal/volume to the
sub. If I touch the subwoofer speaker I can feel very very very low intensity
vibrations coming out of it. I’m guessing it’s reacting to unamplified signal
it’s receiving. You can’t really hard it, or if you can it’s hard to hear. I
turn the volume up and it doesn’t get louder, except I still get that loud pop
here and there.

I hope someone can help me I bought it
a couple years ago and I think for the past year or so it’s been like this, but I
didn’t investigate until recently. I’m guessing there is something wrong with
the built in amplifier. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.
