You should try to get the center from the same line as her mains so the timbre matches across the front. If you can do the surrounds that would be great as well, but not as crucial as the center. Also, how big is her room For a receiver I would recommend the Onkyo 606. It is a great entry level receiver with all sorts of bells and whistles, plus 4 HDMI inputs I believe. For subs I would go with an internet direct company such as; SVS, HSU, Epic, Elemental Designs, or Outlaw. I personally own a few SVS subs and they are amazing and look good.
