Could someone please tell me how to remove the old fabric safely and what kind of glue to use to install the new fabric I bought from Bob Crites? Frame is plastic. Thanks in advance. Daddy Dee Posted July 12, 2008 Share Posted July 12, 2008 lacquer or paint thinner should help to dissolve and clean up the old glue. You'd also want a clean surface before installing new grill cloth. Spray on contact cement, Duco or hot glue would work for the new cloth. Budman Posted July 12, 2008 Share Posted July 12, 2008 frank, why do you want to remove it safely. if you are not saving it just rip it off and pitch it in the trash. i used the spray can of super 77 from home depot. cut your cloth an inch xtra on all sides. make sure your top line is straight congrats on your heresy 3's and safe arrival.
