arug4
After nearly 45 years of changing this and that, I believe that I've come upon the "best yet". I recently bought a set of 1989 Quartets in great shape. I changed the crossovers and tweeter diaphragms ala Bob Crites . Recently I had my Almarro 318B modded by Bill Baker at Response Audio with teflon V-caps, a Noble volume pot, some Blackgate and Elna bypass caps, and a SoniCap power bypass. This is all driven by a Marantz SA-11S2 CDP. A Reference Line preamp connects them. The sound in my 15 x 22 living room with 10-14 foot ceilings is truly remarkable. All those years of listening to this and that compared to this system has raised my excitement once again.
billybob
Sound like an epiphany in the making. Is this your 1st Klipsch,s? If the answer is yes, or no, just think of all the other speakers in the Klipsch lines out there waiting......
bliss53
I started with quartets. My illness has now progessed to cornwalls. I flirt with selling the quartets to try some belles or lascalas. If you love the sound its hard not to try all the flavors.
davis419b
I agree with you 100%. For the dollars spents, hands down they are the best. I have 4 of them in Oiled Oak and I would not trade them for 4 Heresys. Don
