HudsonValleyNoah
I read it when it was still "live" and passed it up as BS. Did not smell right to me, now that I hear that it was soon deleted by it's author, I think that I might have made a misteak... I HATE when that happens! lol
jtnfoley
I figure the phone call from the son went something like this: "Hi mom, just had some shrimp off of the barbie and figured I'd give you a call." "YOU WHAT!?!?!? TAKE IT DOWN! THEY ARE WORTH THOUSANDS!" []

I wrote them 5 minutes after the post went up and got no reply either. If real, I would love to know how many e-mails flooded their in-basket [8-)]. jtnfoley
I missed a set of BEAUTIFUL Designer LS in the same town where I work for $275... the ad featured a phone number. By the time they finally answered the phone it was a loud "THEY'RE SOLD" followed by n abrupt click. []
Hifi jim
I missed beautiful HII's OO for $35 last week by one lousy email. The seller emailed me the next day to confirm that they were indeed picked up. "I've gotten lots of interest in the speakers, I guess I sold them too cheap". Guess so. Some CL deals are true. HudsonValleyNoah
Hi Jim, You and I go for the same ones and I think that 35 dollar pair was the pair in Westchester that I got but... I paid the girl (selling for her mom) $100 for them... Keep looking and be ready. LOL, too often, ones that look too good to be true... ARE. But sometimes they are not and that's why we keep trying... N
Hifi jim
Hi Noah, I thought the HII's I'm thinking of were in Manhatten, Upper West Side if I recall but maybe I'm mistaken. Glad to hear you were more than fair with your find. Congrats. I'm still waiting to find my Cornwalls roadside, maybe with a Mac integrated on top, maybe a Thorens too! LOL. I missed a free Thorens TD-320 mkII if I recall the model correctly. It was a beauty, talked to the gentleman offering it, but he wanted an easy pick up from some one in Manhatten. I was hoping he could hold it for me till I got there the following weekend, but no dice. There are still deals out there, keep your eyes peeled and good luck.
