hawkster
Over the past couple of months I've replaced my preamp and amps, and still have an intermittent "soft static" in one of my trusty Forte IIs. I removed the passive radiator today to eyeball the crossover circuitry, and of course nothing was obviously wrong. Any suggestions on how to quash the static? I'm loathe to replace the Forte IIs, since they've been the one constant in my system for the last 16 years and I'm still happy with them. Moderators dtel Posted November 1, 2008 Moderators Share Posted November 1, 2008 Try and clean off the wire connection on each driver, even if they are tight, take each little spade off and clean with sandpaper or pencil eraser. I had one do that then just quit playing, I thought it was a crossover, but even though they were very tight one of the connections were not connecting. If nothing else it's a free to try !
