After being used to my Custom 2 our youngest daughter often refers to as hers, I think she would be disappointed in the Custom 1 if only a little bit. She loves the Image X10 naturally, but says the X5 are too big for her tiny ear canals. She actually uses the extra small gels on our Custom 2 and says they work the best. Drat it all. I actually like the sound of the Image X5 better than the X10. Of course if Santa would bring me some Image X5 our daughter probably could pretty much keep the Custom 2. (that said, my American Express bonus points aren't too far from the Image X10.... but still a ways to go ... now if they'd include the Image X5 I'd probably have enough points... The ear gell assessment took me down a different path than I originally went but they rock. For $99 I would imagine the C1's are simply a fanftastic deal.
