Doug West Posted November 20, 2008 Share Posted November 20, 2008 Hello Everybody in Klipschland, as never owned a pair of Klipsch loudspeakers I was a little bit worried about my recent purchase. Are they going to blow me outta my room? Is that horn going to honk? etc. Seems all my fears are put to bed, yes these can come on loud in room, but I never dealt with this kind of efficientcy before. My Ohm Walsh 3XO are rated at 90db 1 watt/ 1 meter. These Klipsch 4.5 at 95db and they Sound & Look beautiful in their light oak wood. My Deal ~~~ $175.00 ~~~ less shipping, in a easy 8.5/ 10 condition. WOW ... still amazed. My audio only room is 20x13x7 with carpet and acoustic traps (4ftx2ft) in all corners, with 2 more in the middle of the short walls. Preamp is a Conrad-Johnson PV 11 linestage to a VSP gold amp. A Velodyne FSX-12 covers the bottom. CD"s from a Cambridge 640vII and FM from my Sansui TU-719 tuner. Everything plugs into a Monster 3500mkII pro ( wish I could say PS platinum ) from dedicated 20 amp lines.
