  1. It's been a while so thought I would stop by and post a few install photos. I'm still need to add a sub and I'm going to add separate Crown power amps for each channel, along with an additional KI-102 center channel speaker to mount one on each side of the TV. For now, just using the power from the receiver it sounds really good, so time/money and I will get it finished up.
  2. Interesting, so I was think about hanging them as shown in the photo, aimed down around 20-30(o) or so. Sub would still go on top of compressor room.
  3. 262's are: 23H x 17W x 12.5D @ 49lbs. The top and bottom look like this: Both sides look like this:
  4. Hadn't really considered building my own, but I'm totally diggin the idea. Would be a nice first project in the shop and pay dividends for years. Any of you gents have ideas for the best way to fly the 262's, keeping in mind I am looking for a pair of mint 362's to use as fronts eventually? Called Klipsch CS and was told they don't make brackets for them space between the deck and the roof is 42" Space from deck to ceiling is 63" Was thinking about hanging the 172's in the corners
  5. Just got a notice from FedEx the 262's delivered. May hook them up in my home office tonight and take them for a test drive
  6. Yes Sir, another member was nice enough to enlighten me on that sub via IM. I was able to cancel the order the next morning before it shipped. On the hunt for a KPT-884 now Received the 172's yesterday and the 262's are "out for delivery" today. Also ordered a single 102 to use as a center channel.
  7. Oh my, I had an eargasm just thinking about standing in front of those with my guitar. They would work well for that im sure, These EAW's take 2k Watts, and yes they are mine. These need to move out so the McMs can come in, iv already pizzed of a neighbor or three, im out to pizz off the neighborhood.[/quote If they start any shit with you, just stat cranking up the porn
  8. Oh my, I had an eargasm just thinking about standing in front of those with my guitar.
  9. Sincerely appreciate all the advice. Here's what I ordered today: (2) KI-262's, (2) KI-172's, and (1) KI-215. Anyone know a good amp to pair with the 215?
  10. What do you guys think of the current permanent install KI line? Are the 262's and 272's the 250 replacements? I notice they are 2-ways.
  11. Thanks for the reply! Good point about hanging them. I budgeted $5K for AV. (2 TV's, receiver and speakers.) KP250's are a great idea, the problem is finding a couple pairs in decent shape. Looking around now.
  12. Interesting! We used 2 pairs of Cornwall II's for our graduation party set up outside my dad's shop. When the police came, they said they received a call from over a mile away complaining about the noise. lol. Where did you put your Cornwalls in the shop? They're BIG, so have to consider the real estate they take up. I've thought about some QSC K-10's mounted up high like you see in clubs. I have a pair of K-8's in my home office, used for backing tracks, that will make your hair stand up, BUT they can be really noisy during quiet parts.
  13. Wow, that's cool. Could just cut 6 of those right into the wood ceiling
  14. No offense at all, that's why I posted; to get opinions on the best route to take from people that know more than I do. When it's finished, it will have a 2 post lift and 4 post lift in two of the bays. I have 18' of tool box storage/work surface going under the TV. Not impossible to drop some wires for bookshelf's and a center channel to sit on top of the toolboxes, and then throw 4 speakers up in the ceiling....but it's probably a little late for in-wall's. I've got blown in cellulose insulation, so pulling wires now will be a PIA.
