  2. Not in a band, lol. Just a DJ. It is now called "Leonard's Livingroom". It WAS called something else for a while; named after an owner's daughter.
  3. Ok, then. This IS a dance club system. Someone, in the shallow end of the gene pool, missed: When at home.............. Dahlquist DQ-10's Dynakit MKIII's Haffler DH-101 Nakamichi 1000 Thorens 166 MkII w/ Grado Prestige Silver Velodyne sub
  4. The LivingRoom, in Mt Lebanon was pretty empty. I half figured they'd cancel entertainment for tonight. But they didn't. So, everyone was watching the Pens game while I made noise. Everytime there was a score, someone would come up on stage and tell me. Thank goodness they won. I think the HAVE to win the next home game to have any chance in the series. The Red Wings will not just fold up and go away.
  5. Less than 2 hours to game 3. The Penguin's 66th straight sellout game. Probably another 5 to 10,000 outside, watching on the big screen. Here's hoping it goes to game 5.
  6. Keep wondering. Or, you can read my profile. Your choice.
  7. That had occurred to me. I almost immediately discarded the idea. And forgot it until your suggestion. But a summed-mono Heresy "might" do the trick. That layout would also work well with my 46" Aquos. I have it on a rolling stainless cart and can move it between the master bedroom and the livingroom. That gives me great flexibility. The livingroom can either be used as a party room for sporting events or a TV-less conversation / music room. I would most likely opt for the long wall. It has an 8' picture window. The short wall has a stone fireplace. It's nice, but I like the window better. lol Thanks. [Y]
  8. Human beings are a crafty lot. Sooner or later they'll figure out how to make something work. Best of luck in your quest.
  9. I would tend to agree with your generalization. I'd call it the human factor. I know that I would tend to select music that sounds best through my system, back in the seventies. Some stuff just sounded great. So, that's what I'd play. It would seem that the engineer who best utilizes their format would be more successful. I know that in the late eighties and early nineties I would A/B 12" singles and CD's. I never heard a CD that was superior to the vinyl. That's my experience and what I was trying to convey. Perhaps things have improved? I was also pushing things to the limit with equipment that drew 80+ amp peak potential. Not exactly like listening in your living room. OTOH, I will be getting paid to play CD's this evening. I can easily grab a few thousand CD's and be prepared. If I was able to empty my storage space, and spend a few weeks searching, and carry a ton of records.... I could do it with vinyl. But I'm too lazy. lol
  10. You been talking to my Father, circa 1962? [H]
  11. Hard to say. Will you use the mids and tweeters in the LaScalas?
  12. My living room has corners 23' and 12' 6" apart with a ceiling height of 7' 8". Although I currently have DQ-10's at the short end, I am considering K-horns in the future. Any thoughts would be appreciated as to placement and room suitability.
