  1. Hey all, After many years I am finally starting to plan my own dedicated home theater room. I've followed this thread years ago, but it's been awhile and the speaker models have changed. I am looking to build either a 7.2.4 or 9.2.4 system. (maybe even 6 Atmos, I don't know yet) I currently have Klipsch RF-7s (the original version) I bought new in 2007. Still love them. Later I found an RC-7 and two RB-75s for the surrounds. I realize the RS-7 is the other ideal surround, but I probably won't find those at this point or have them be in good shape. I want to stick with current models for speakers I don't have that way if I ever decide to upgrade in the future to RF-7 III or similar then everything else is not also almost 20 years old haha. What do you recommend for the rest of the surrounds and in ceiling speakers? I assume I should put the RB-75 behind the seats at the rear of the room. Would 2 or 4 RS-62 IIs be the best current model equivalent for side surrounds? I assume that's the highest end model just like the RF-7. What about the in ceiling Atmos speakers? Is that CDT-5800-C II or PRO-18RC? I am not sure what is preferred with those, but both of those seem to have an 8 in driver. My subs are two Seaton Sound F18s I got probably 5-6 years ago now. The room is roughly 21.5x16x7.5/8 feet. The two heights for the ceiling is due to duct work that currently runs down the center of the room. That will likely get changed/moved as the room gets designed and also the dimensions will get smaller once all the soundproofing layers are done. Appreciate any help you can provide! Thanks!
  2. OMG I've had this issue for 3 YEARS. THANK YOU!!! Now all of the controls/LEDs/Bluetooth works!! OMG THANK YOU LOL
  3. Thanks for all of the good info. I'll work something out so I don't need to rest it directly on the speaker.
  4. Am I going to damage my Klipsch rc-7 by putting my 52in Samsung LCD tv directly on top of it? Thanks

    RC-7 Classic?

Thanks. I will keep hoping =]
  6. Any word on the RC-7 coming back into production? Last I heard it was not decided. It's the only piece I am missing now to my home theater []
  7. Congrats sir! (To everyone else I am the buddy that bought the RF-7s... amazing speakers) Can't wait to hear those Heresys!! []
  8. I currently have RF-7 fronts and have acquired RB-75s to use for my rear speakers. I am looking for speakers stands that would be good for these speakers. So far I have found these that look good: http://www.dynamichomedecor.com/Apollo-A3.html I assume I would get them in the 24in height because the RF-7s are 45 inches and the RB-75s are 20 inches so this would make the RF-7s and RB-75s about the same height. Does anyone have any better suggestions or would I be ok with buying these stands? Thank you!
  9. PLEASE bring back the RC-7. There are still lots of posts on the forums of people trying to find a good quality RC-7 since they are so hard to find. I bought my cherry RF-7s 2 years ago and still have yet to find a cherry RC-7 for sale that is in good condition. With the reintroduction of the RF-5s and RF-7s there will be even more demand for those RC-7s.
  10. They are maybe 3 ft away from the back wall.
  11. Hi everyone. I am not trying to change the subject, but I also own RB-75s as of recently. I bought them for surrounds for my RF-7s because I wanted something similar that could keep up with the RF-7s. I realize they do not have same the same tweeter, but are similar. Anyway... just for fun I hooked up my amp to the RB-75s just to see how they sounded for music. I think they sound great, but I am getting almost no bass from these... I have slightly smaller Jamo bookshelves that seem to have a lot more bass (and smaller woofers) then the RB-75s. Are the RB-75s not too good with bass? I read that these are supposedly the bookshelf version of the RF-7 (or as close as it gets) and while I think they sound nice I am not getting much bass at all. I made sure that these were set to large in the receiver. I tried with both a Harman Kardon AVR-335 and then tried with a Crown XLS-802 amp and there just is not much bass at all. Thanks.
  12. Hey I just wanted to throw in my quick opinion about the MFW-15. I bought one during their Black Friday deal last year. I had to move some wires around as well to get the hum to go away. Other then that, it has been a great performer. It is paired with RF-7s and does the job nicely. I got mine right around the time they were having lots of amp problems (I don't know if they still are or not) but mine has had zero problems. It seems like they are really good with customer service though if you do have a problem. Hope you are enjoying your sub as much as I enjoy mine.
  13. Thanks for all of the responses! I will try playing with the crossover and see how it works. Also SWL some real good examples for pipe organ music would be Felix Hell music or Pomps and Pipes/Crown Imperial cds from the Dallas Wind Symphony. Thanks to all again.
  14. Hi. I realize this is the 2-Channel Audio forum, but I thought this question would fit best here. I currently have 2 RF-7s as my mains and 2 RB-75s as my rear speakers. I just purchased an AV123 MFW-15 subwoofer to keep up with the RF-7s. I listen to a lot of music and was wondering what your opinions are on whether or not I should cross the RF-7s over at 80hz and use the sub when I listen to music or just continue doing 2-channel for music. I calibrated my system with my receiver's built in functions and then fine tuned with AVIA and an SPL meter. Also, I like listening to a lot of Pipe Organ music because of the crazy low LFE which is one of the reasons I am debating using the sub for music. I know a lot of people prefer just using the main speakers for music, but I am not sure what all the benefits of that would be. Thanks in advance and sorry if these questions do not belong here.
  15. Wow I'd be real interested in those RB-75s too but I don't want to pay that much especially with scratches. I PMed the guy with the RC-7.For the guy with the RB-75s could I see some pictures? Thanks
