  1. Anybody know of a Klipsch authorized on-line store selling Image S4i headphones in the $55-$65 range?
  2. I used a tripod. Set it in on the couch where I normally sit. Tripod was 24" from wall. This does not explain why the center speaker is also at -12dB.
  3. I am getting very strange Audyssey readings. Front, center, and rear speakers are Klipsch RF-82II, RC-62II, and RS-52II respectively. My subwoofer is a HSU VTF 3MK3. My receiver is a Denon AVR 3312CI. My rear surround speakers are on the left and right side of my couch. My center speaker sits on a plate that hooks over the top of the TV. The floor speakers are to the left and right of the TV. My subwoofer volume is set to 9:00 o'clock, crossover is out, using LFE cable, bass extension is 1 port open, phase set to 0. Microphone is taped to a tripod. I cannot get my center or surround speaker channel readings to go above -12dB no matter where I set the microphone / tripod on my couch, which is about 9 feet from the TV against the back wall of the living room. Subwoofer readings ranges from -7dB to -9.5 dB and my front left and right speaker readings are around -9.5 to -10.5 dB. There is a piece of felt on top of the microphone. I assume it is suppose to be there. Should it be there? Could the microphone be defective? I have seen questions where the sub has a very low dB reading and the volume on the sub needs to be turned down to get a good reading, but I could not find any post where the other speaker readings were too low and the sub reading was okay. Please help. I have spent way too much time on this already
  4. Is that fuzzy top to the Denon Audyssey microphone a protective cover that needs to be removed prior to use. Please advise asap.
  5. Yes, I meant two RF-7, a RC-64, and two RF-62. The reason I ask is I came across someone who sold this entire system for $500 on craigs list. He also has two WF 35, two WS 24, and a WC 24 or sale for $2,000. This system was a wedding gift and has never been opened. I asked him why he sold the premium RF-7 system for $500 and is asking $2,000 for a mediocre WF system and he said because it was 6 years old. Didn't make sense to me. To me it seems it should be worth at least $3,500. I am also looking at a HSU VTF 3MK2 and would like to know how much to pay.
  6. What should I expect to pay for the following speakers? What is fair market value? All are in excellent shape. They are all 6 years old. (2) RF-7II 6 years old RC-64 6 years old (2) RS-62 6 years old HSU VTF-3MK2 Subwoofer 6 years old
  7. Pete, I won't physically have the unit till this afternoon. I was at my friends house earlier and confirmed that it was not the speakers. I need to clarify if volume is okay when it is in A channel and okay when it is in B channel but not okay with both A and B on. Ie; with both on he gets only low volume out of one speaker. If that was the case would that indicate a potentiometer problem? Steve
  8. I have an Onkyo A 8067 amplifier that ouputs low volume to one speaker. What could be causing this? I purchased the unit used from a friend who use to play his music very loud. Would a blown transistor or fuse cause this problem? Thanks, Steve Bachman
  9. That is what someone in Lake Forest, CA sold their system for. It happened last night. I was too late. See thread below. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX We moved to a new home, and it did not fit in our living room. That is why we sold it. Yes we know that it was very expensive. We wanted someone to have a great system that could not afford one. Why did you sell it for $500. -----Original Message----- From: David McCleary <david_mc_cleary@hotmail.com> To: leach234 <leach234@aol.com> Sent: Sat, Oct 29, 2011 8:19 am Subject: RE: RF-7II system The system sold last night, Thanks To: sale-wx4pj-2674534701@craigslist.org Subject: RF-7II system From: leach234@aol.com Date: Sat, 29 Oct 2011 01:52:34 -0400 ** CRAIGSLIST ADVISORY --- AVOID SCAMS BY DEALING LOCALLY ** Avoid: wiring money, cross-border deals, work-at-home ** Beware: cashier checks, money orders, escrow, shipping ** More Info: http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams I will pick them up tomorrow. 10. I am looking at the following subwoofers for my RF-82II system. What are your opinions on them. My price range is around $500. My viewing room is 14 feet deep, 16.5 feet wide, and has vaulted sealings. HSU-VTF-2 MK3 ($509 plus $63 shipping) HSU-VTF1 ($399 plus $43 shipping) SVS SB12-NSD ($679 includes shipping) ED A5S-300 ($550) Emotiva Ultra Series 10 (B-stock $299) Thanks, Steve Bachman
  11. I know absolutely nothing about subwoofers. What should I be looking for? My speakers have 8" woofers. Does the subwoofer need to be bigger than that? What about crossover? Size? Front firing versus down firing? Powered versus passive? Can someone educate me.
  12. Would the members please recommend a nice subwoofer to go with my RF82II / RC-62II / RS-52II system. Would like to spend $250-$500 max whether it is new or used.
  13. I just hooked up 2 RF-82II speakers. They are awesome. My RC-62 center speaker should be in this week. My question is the following: I also purchased 2 RS-52 rear speakers that I am getting ready to hook up but am now wondering how effective they will be. My living room is not real deep. The room is 14 feet deep. The distance from the floor speakers and TV to the front of the couch is about 10 feet. The couch is 3 feet wide and sits against the rear wall (there is around 1 foot behind the TV consol for cabling). Since the couch is against a rear wall the rear speakers would be placed either on that back wall above the couch or on each side of the couch. In either case there will not be any room between the couch and the rear speakers. My understanding is that to get the real effects of rear speakers they should be placed 2-4 feet behind the area where you will be viewing. How effective will these rear speakers be if they are right above the couch, either on the back wall or side wall? Are they worth installing? Thanks, Steve

  15. Awesome. Its a little red light so it is an optical cable. TV owners manual did indeed confirm that a cable form this digital audio out is needed to listen to the TV through speakers. Does anyone know where it will plug into on a Denon 3312ci AVR. Thanks for all your help. I think this completes my new speaker / receiver setup.
