    My setup

    simple system setup
  2. I was wondering if I should rerun the Audyssey on my Denon AVR 4311CI I have not been very happy with the levels that it calculates when finished. I was thinking because I was running different speakers in the rear than the front and because my speakers are much smaller in the rear it was lowering the levels of all the speakers. Now I have RF 82's upfront with a RC62 center, RB81's surround sides but for now I have RB51's in the rear and until I get my hands on some RS62's should I run Audyssey in 5.2 mode and manually add the rear channel so that the blend is not effected or lowering the fronts and sides.
  3. I contacted Klipsch and they responded and will send me a couple of pair of new feet for free, I am assuming that this includes the spikes too.
  4. What you say makes a lot of sense the reason I wanted them was I noticed that the speakers rocked a little when I pushed them and I thought the carpet might be a little to thick and the spikes would go thru the carpet and stabilize them and if they did not cost much not really a loss. I will contact Klipsch parts like you suggested and see what they have.
  5. I know this may be a simple answer, but I wanted to find carpet spikes for my RF82's and wonder first if I needed special ones or would any carpet spike work and two should I get them online or somewhere local. I live in L.A., CA

You make a great point and if at the end of the day it does what I want it to do and I'm happy just be happy

I agree I don't want to rush and get ripped just because I couldn't wait a second or two and I am looking for black

Where did you get it from ?

    RC 64

I will keep looking for someone willing to let go of a RC64 I for a decent price that knows how to ship it or lives close to L.A. I figured since it's an old model I should be able to find way below 500

    RC 64

Where did you get those and how can I find that deal ?

Thanks, I do plan on getting either two HSU-VTF-15's or SVS PB13. I will continue to try and find the RF83's and I might have found a RC62 and RS52's for $600 for both trying to get a little better price for that setup

I think what I will do is shoot to find that RC64 and when I find a pair of RF 83's I will move the RF 82's to the rear and that way I won't have to worry about selling the set or matching them and after that I will have a complete set

No I would be upgrading the center for sure, the RC 52 is going no matter what. The only question was should I replace it with RC 64II or the RC 64I or save some doe and just grab an RC 62. As far as the Emotiva I wanted to see if by adding that I would get better mid range and open up the sound stage. I found a deal on some RF 83's and also wondered if by them adding one more woofer would that change the sound or give me the sound that I am looking for. I would start with the speakers because it's harder to find a good deal on them. I can always grab the amps directly from Emo. I know that I listen to movies more than music 60]40 and on some music the RF 82's sound great and some they seem to be lacking something. And the last case scenario would be to sale the Klipsch and replace with something like Golden ears it's all about the same price just need to make a decision.

    RC 64

I totally agree with you, I've noticed that when I ran the room correction with the Denon that my front stage was missing something and I know it's the center channel issue. The solution is to replace the RC52 with a RC64 and I am sure that the Denon's Audyessy will fix the issue and it also allows you to adjust the EQ on all the speakers individually. I think I did not want to spend another grand or so on a center and rears because they have been discontinued, but I do know that I am missing something will fix it by adding an external Emotiva either XPA-5 OR THE NEW XPR-5 and see if that will make me happy

Wow I would hate to have to do this 3 times. I hope I can pick one up in So. Cal and actually pick it up physically or if I get one from one of our fellow Klipsch friends they will know how to pack it correctly. One a side note. I noticed you have Emotiva amps and I was going to pick two of them up, but when I emailed them the suggested I go with UPA-1's because of the noise that the XPA would have on the Klipsch. Well as soon as I was going to pull the trigger they stop making the UPA-1's. SMH but I got an email the other day about the XPR-5 which is 400 watts x 5 and I thiVTF-15H's (2) have you had a chance to compare them to your SVS ?
