Anyone know the differences between these two, other than the RB-10 is discontinued? They seem pretty similar.

I didn't fill in the detail over there, but its mostly a large set of stairs and a lot of doors, and the traffic from the front door to the kitchen (not shown) go through there. I literally spent the first few weeks moving the couch and TV around every night trying different things - I'm pretty much stuck with this layout until I can knock down one of the walls. I know it's terrible, I'm just looking for "best case with what I've got". In the future, when budget and time allow, I think the whole downstairs will be re-engineered. I was being facetious about the Heresys, but thanks for the tip.. I'm tempted to use one as a center below the TV just for kicks

Hello folks, I just stumbled across this forum and I'm hoping someone here can point me down the right path. I've moved into a new house and there just isn't anywhere to put my tower speakers in the new living room, not to mention I used to have to lash them to my TV stand to keep my toddlers from knocking them over. I've attached the requisite bad MS paint drawing. I've tried every other way to lay out the room I can think of, but due to some hair-brained design ideas en vogue when this place was built in the 80s, I'm stuck with the current layout for at least a few years. Each of the rooms in the drawing is about 12x12 with ~8 ft ceilings. Anyway, I know this corner layout is going to be pretty crappy for home theater, but I'd like to make the best of it if I can. I figure I can at least get a pretty decent little 3.1 system in there to enhance my TV viewing. The L and R show where I figure my front channel speakers should be.. unfortunately, that's right in the middle of the opening between the rooms. No walls are there to mount anything to, and floor standing speakers would be in the middle of the doorway. Awful. The only thing I've come up with is to ceiling mount something. So, Klipsch cognescenti, with an 8' ceiling, what are my options for shoe-horning in passable Klipsch sound sitting on that couch in the corner there, where it's pretty comfy? I've been considering a pair of RB-51s on Omnisat 20 mounts + an RC-52, a pair of RB-41s on Omnisat 10 mounts + an RC-42, or just buying some RB-61s and duct taping them to the ceiling. Maybe not so much that last one, but really, I want to get as much in there as I can. Would RB-61s turned sideways be off-axis enough to really sound worse? Would three RC-52s or RC-62s sound better? Should I just mount some Heresys to the wall behind my head like giant headphones? I figure I'll work out what type of sub and where to place it later, which is why it isn't in the diagram. Thanks for any help you might be able to give, I'm in over my head here.
