The light still turns on with the power switch but the SW isn't getting power. I'm assuming this is a power source problem - blown amp?

So i got this Sub 10 for free from the local pawn shop because it was sold to a customer and did not work. It didn't take much research before I determined the problem was in the amp and that it was a common one. I joined this forum to try to learn more about what others have done with their "broken sub 10s". I priced out some new, stronger, amps that I could replace the 200w one with but I'd prefer a cheaper option. Anyone have any suggestions to make use of this sub? Thanks for the responses.
