  1. Cheers. I did not want to buy the extra amp until i knew would be ok, but i believe the input impedance of the amp is 8 ohm and looking at the specs of the yamaha pre out is 1vrms/1.5kOhm. Not sure of the impedance of the klipsch active sub.
  2. Hello, I could not find clear answer, so i just wanted to ask before i spend more money. if it is ok to split the amp pre-out? My situation is: Yamaha a-s2100 amp (does not have sub-out). Both A/B sets of speakers being used. Pre-out is driving my Klispch 15 inch sub. I want to add another slave amp so i can run another set of speakers outside, but i do not have another set of pre-outs to use, so the only option is to split. Will this work?, impedance's be ok? No loss in sound quality? Cheers.
  3. This is a big upgrade from my old 5.1 system, but will remain a 2 chanel.. The reason I thought about the NAD separates was the clarity of a separate power amp and if I thought I needed it could add a second later on and run bridged. Or would that power just be too much and wasted with the RF7s
  4. Sure is a hard choice, already own a Yamaha receiver so wanted something different, even Yamaha may be good. I was hoping someone would say the NAD separates would be a clear winner over all the integrateds, but maybe that's not the case. The Anthem has got a lot more power than all the others, but have read about some volume control issues...
  5. I was pretty much sold on the NAD but just found a the Anthem 225 integrated... Anyone have any opinions??
  6. Hi guys, what you think about the NAD integrated 375BEE versus the pre/power combo, 165/275BEE? At over 1000$ more both have same power output, will there be much of a sound difference driving RF7 II speakers? Is this good choice for these speakers or do I go to Cambridge 851 series, at a higher price?
  7. Thanks for the reply's, can explain more about what you mean by swap to run at full range? And I just assumed the sub will connect via pre out L&R jacks on the amp, correct?
  8. Hi guys, am looking for some expert opinions. I have just purchased some RF7 II speakers and 15inch sub. I need some help on closing the 2 Chanel amp. I live in Australia. Can you guys check out all the specs from the links below and tell me what is best? Obviously I understand the output watts but not a lot else. First I selected the Cambridge 851A integrated because good output and xlr inputs from my cdj's and is my budget range. My local dealer was trying sell me the AMC xia150 integrated. A lot cheaper but he telling me is as good as the Cambridge but well under half the price, and won so many awards ect ect. Then my next option was the AMC pre/power combo that is still cheaper than the Cambridge integrated. All links below. Hope someone can spend the time and check them out, or maybe some better recommendations. Cheers. https://www.cambridgeaudio.com/products/851/851a http://www.amchome.com/3100mkii-3150mkii http://www.amchome.com/xp http://www.amchome.com/content/amc-2n100mkii-2n100-2-2n100-3-2n100-5-235-channel-power-amplifiers-150wx2-150wx3-150wx5
  9. Hello, noticed on klipsch website Australia, RF7 II speakers now say product no longer available... Does this mean discontinued? I ask because wanted to buy in the near future. The premier do not match these speakers and palladium out of my budget... Can anyone answer? Thanks
