If you want old-school analog "spirit" few things beat the Outlaw rr 2150. It's a modern receiver, but like the old ones, Outlaw paid attention to the phono stage and the tuner. It loves easy to drive speakers and I think it makes a good match to almost any Klipsch.

Just picked up a pair of these for $20 at the local thrift. I am flabbergasted at how great these sound! I always scour the thrifts for possible audio gold and these are far and away the best speaker find I've come across. I've found "nicer" speakers, but never anything that was in mint condition and I could just hook up and enjoy. No re-foaming, the crossovers sound like they are doing the job they are supposed to do, so no need to tear into them to replace caps... fun! Thing is, I search here for KG 2.5 and I can't find anything in any forum. I heard over at the speaker asylum that Klipsch has a guru named Crites that makes all sorts of cool crossover mods and tweeter replacements. I would be interested in taking these to the next level if they can be improved.
