Hi all, first time poster here! I have been exploring the world of efficient speakers, and last week I stumbled upon a pair of CF-4 at a pretty decent price. The cabinets are in pretty decent shape, with a little touch-up and a new coat of poly I think they will look very nice - they are the black oak finish. Anywho, the tweeters are fine, and so are three of the woofers. But one of the woofers has a seized suspension. The impedance is fine, and it makes noise, but with zero suspension travel it doesn't make much noise. I suspect the motor has somehow shifted, and the coil is pinched, but it's not easy to take these things apart. I am going to take it this weekend to National Speaker in Denver to let them look at it, but I'm not too optimistic. Have Ebay alerts set, and I'm checking Craigslist as well. But, if anyone here has a K-30-KN woofer, I'd love to buy it!
