He did mention that they are still covered under warranty so they must be authorized, not sure where that authorization lets you sell said product though.

Good news, I spoke with Klipsch this morning and everything checks out. They validated the serial numbers and things looks good. They were a little taken back that the dealer was selling through newegg however, I guess that is a no-no. Thanks again for everyones comments on this one.

I got them through a seller on newegg, originally I had though they were coming from newegg directly but that was a different model I was looking at. I will give Klipsch a call tomorrow, it appears they are already closed for the day as their call center is in the eastern timezone and I am in pacific.

Hello, I recently purchased a pair of Klipsch model R-5502-W II in-wall speakers. I am not entirely certain that they are genuine, but unfortunately I am having difficulty finding much if any information on how to spot Klipsch fakes aside from their headphones. Does anyone have any litmus tests to check the validity, or possibly close up pictures of the back of their own 5502's? The only picture I can find online is the stock one from Klipsch's website, which is missing serial number stickers etc. so not a great representation of what or what not to look for. I also attempted to locate some unboxing video but no dice there either. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide. Cheers! -LzK
