  1. Welcome to the forum
  2. I don’t get the point of this experiment. Having two sets of different speakers playing at the same time in different positions has to destroy the soundstage of a track cut for stereo reproduction. no harm done here but the question remains - Why?
  3. The Focal Bathys sound stunning and at under $1,000 are quite the bargain.
  4. yes I can clearly hear the glitch.
  5. Playing California Dreaming on my system with my Primaluna Evo 400, my Denefrips Venus, my Rel s812 and my Forte IVs are so dynamic and enjoyable. It’s amazing that recording was so well made that long ago.it draws me so into the music.🎵
  6. Listening to California dreaming by mamas and papas and the forte IVs sound stage sounds utterly amazing. Wow
  7. I have had my EVO 400 for about 3 years now and have rolled kt150s in and rolled in some preamp tubes and I love the sound of my system more now than ever. I don’t think I will ever go back to solid state amplification.
  8. I owned a McIntosh MA 252 and it sounded very good. I auditioned a Primaluna Evo 400 and preferred the sound over the MA 253 so I traded it in for the evo. I am very happy I moved to the all tube integrated amplifier as I love the sound with my Forte IVs
  9. I have the bathys and love them. The noise canceling works amazing I flew to Nashville and back to Cali last week and rocked out on the bathys both ways and only heard the plane when we landed. Those Focal cans sound wonderful.
  10. Way back in 1986 my dad told me he wanted a new stereo for his penthouse beach house. We went to the closest high end audio store, Genesis Audio and listened to a full lineup of Heritage speakers. I can’t remember how he chose the Forte 1s at the time but they were far and away his favorite. Genesis was a very high end store and had mostly exotic amps etc. my dad wanted a simple receiver so I gave him my Sony and bought an NAD full separate system for my listening room. I had Cerwin Vega 380 SE at the time and loved them. When I got the fortes setup at dad’s house we played a Linda ronstadt disk which sounded incredible. I came home and played the same cd on my system. The Cerwin Vegas were no match to those Fortes. when my dads wife got home she had a sh#@#@t fit. lol she hated them but my dad listened to them every day the rest of his life. They passed to me when he died and are now my surrounds in my living room to go along with my Forte IV mains. I love the Klipsch sound signature.
  11. Wow those are beautiful very impressive woodworking skills
  12. I use my sub for music and ht. I don’t always analyze everything about my stereo components. I am usually drawn to whatever sounds best to my ears, only. The HSU sub I had provided great deep bass and sounded good with HT but the REL blends better with my Forte IVs then my HSU ever did when listening to music. Maybe the REL hype is just that but… the REL sub disappears and you only hear the Fortes with that deep lower register no t present without the sub.
  13. Glad you got your pass labs setup and love it. Congrats
