    Nothing special, just a normal, run of the mill entry level setup. 55in Sony810c into Onkyos 737 receiver, Elac Debut B7's, Klispch SW450 Sub, Schiit Vali 2 Headphone Amp with Seineheiser HD650's, Hifiman HE500's, and Audio Technica AD-700x. I am hopefully taking the steps to improving all of the above and I hope to build as much of it myself if possible.

About Me

Have had an interest in tube amplifiers for years but was never really able to pursue it due to other interests.  I have worked on a few guitar amps for friends in the past but have never built an amp from scratch.  I recently purchased an old Magnavox amp and hope to build it into something that is an improvement over my current setup and that i can enjoy for a while.  I am an electrical engineer by trade but on a completely different scale.  I work in the quality department of a major automotive supplier where I troubleshoot returned ECU's from numerous OEM's.  I am used to 12VDC and 5V microcontrollers so tube amps are a completely different  world to me.  My knowledge of AC has gotten kinda hazy due to not really using it for a long time but I feel like I have a decent foundation to build my knowledge base on.  Above all I am willing to learn and I want to learn so hopefully i can work on the knowledge it takes for me to enjoy this hobby even more.  i am the type that learns as much as i can about my hobbies.  I am really into DIY type stuff and get a lot of satisfaction out of not just the build process but the learning phase that leads up to the build.
