  1. I finally got my woofers replaced. I got them from e-bay they're k22r's .I only needed one but I replaced them both because the originals were k22e's. Now I'm going to bid on an st-70 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5788943270&category=71545&rd=1 I know the seller he's the one I bought my heresys from in the first place. Does anyone know about the self biasing circuitry he's speaking of? It sounds like a good deal except that it appears as if someone has spray painted the unit.I need to get some tubes! Thanx all.
  2. Hey all! Awhile ago I posted about my k22 voice coil making some awful racket. The response I received was awesome. Some fellow from Oregon offered to send me a replacement and there were other offers too. I initially decided to go with the replacements from layne audio. But after several e-mails and no less than 100 phone calls to this company I've given up on them. The phone was always busy or no answer or there was a voice mail. They never e-mailed me back or called. So I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. So eventually I decided to take it to my local guy he's done a pair of sound dynamics for me in the past and a pair of realistics that I gave to my daughter. He should have them done this week for about 50 bucks. Also I'm bidding on a tube amp from e-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3284&item=5785826248&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW. it's a voice of music 1428 anyone familiar with this unit? The guy lives like 5 mins from me and for the price it would be worthwhile to rebuild it. I've definetley got the fever I am always pulling over the side of the rod ripping open console units looking for tubes lol. Well anyways thanx guys.

    k22's

hi all! thanx for all the nice greets. like I said my k22 is now making a popping sound, I removed it from the motor board and tried it just to make sure it wasn't some sort of cabinet rattle. but sadly it is the woofer. it is from a set of 1980s hereseys ser#'s 124w559 and 124w560. I'll never part with them I just was wondering can they be repaired? Thanx
  6. I was listening to my heresys last night and I heard some popping sound coming from one of my woofers. I've determined that I have a bad voice coil. Cant the voice coil be replaced or do I need a new pair of k22's? Thanx in advance
