Hello everyone! My name is Daryl and i am now officially an audiohollic.(spelling?) Ever since i started reading the threads on this forum, I somehow got the "bug or illness". It all really started when i purchased a new computer and needed some speakers that sounded good. I went to Best Buy( i know, big mistake) and listened to 10 different types of speakers. I confess, i have never even heard of Klipsch until then. There was something about these speakers( promedia 2.1 THX) that stood out. The sound was unreal. Bought them last year and the rest is history. I have been hooked ever since. I currently have a Phillips home theater in a box hooked up to 51inch Toshiba. But in my spare bedroom, I have in the waiting, a pair of RS-35's, RB-35's, a RC-35 and an RW-10. Oh, i also have a Pioneer VSX-1015TX. My wife and I are in the middle of a home addition. She calls it an addition, i call it a dedicated home theater room. Anyway, the room is a 16w26long with a vaulted ceiling. I have several questions, so i hope you all are patient with me. On a scale from 1-10, i am about a 3 when it comes to home theater, (I gave myself a 3 because at least i know Klipsch is the best) Now keep in mind, there are 0 Klipsch dealers in my area that sell the Reference Series, so there was know way i could demo these or hear them before i bought them. Best Buy doesn't sell the Reference Series for some reason.
I will be using my setup for mostly movie watching-(90%movies 10%music), Should i have gotten the RF-35's over the RB-35s? Is there that much of a difference in sound?I was thinking of maybe selling my RB-35's and getting some RF-35's. I know that there is about a 250.00 price difference, but i think i could swing it. Also, i heard the RF-3II's are pretty much the same as the 35's? I have about 5 or 6 hundred dollars left for my budget. I was also thinking i screwed up when i bought the RW-10 instead of the RW-12. I have also heard the Synergy Sub-12 is a pretty good sub for the $. Anyway, any thoughts or opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this and i am looking forward to some quality input.......
