Good Day,
i have a benz ace, as acurate as the benz are, the seems sounds is very clean, but lack of warmness?
I am searching for a warmer cart to use with my laScala? with Benz, never been able to listen more than 2 records, before listening fatigue appears?
Use to have a 103, does the 103R is a big improvement?
Regards, Chris

i did try the red, very very impressive, a huge soundstage, and acurency is sky high! i decided to go for the black!
So far, from my research, the 2m blue is the thing! quality, and fair price!

Hi i'll take your advise, but so far my Benz Ace, as acurate has she is, she lack warmnest and was responsable for some listening fatique, for now, i resume the process with a Denon DL160 (i had broke my denon 103, trying to install it!)
So one week with 4 Ohms, one with 6 Ohms and one with 8 Ohms, will hear and i post my impression!
Thanks, sometime you are to close to the wall to see a simple door, thanks for puting everything in perspective!

So if i have type A crossover (The crite type A), i should modify them or listen to them in 4 Ohms? that is the more neutral, i could get, without modification? right?

I guess, my problem is my cart, a Benz Ace Red, mc low, very very detailled sound, but an evident lack of warmness compare to my now gone DL103 ( i broke the canteliver with my hudge thumb!).
Maybe, i should order another DL103, maybe a R version, or any suggestion for a warmer cartrige in the mc low zone?

Thanks for the info,
So i am searching a set-up to have the more realistic sound possible, no overbright, not to dark, and very musical, SO:
I don't have bi-wire jumper, so it should be 4 Ohms, but i don't like overbright speaker, so i'll guess i would go for the 6 Ohms for more natural sound?
Will listen to it and gave you my impression!
Thanks again, very helpfull!

I have a pair of laScala and a leben cx300(EL84 and 12ax7).
On my leben, i have the choice of listening [*-)] in 4, 6 or 8 Ohms?
I have noticed a slight difference between the 3 set-up? but could not tell witch one is the best?
I have noticed some listening fatigue, and i was set in 4 Ohms, anyone experienced with those parameters, could share is observation/recommandation on that?
ftr, i have the bob crites, type A updated my laScala
Also on one of my laScala, i hear a tchip tchip, tube or caps? both are one years old? maybe one bob caps, were broken in transport?
Thanks for any help?

I am looking to upgrade my phono preamp, does anyone try this phono preamp from Arthemis labs, it to go with my laScala, my leben and my Rega turntable?

I just read on 6moons, info on shindo, seems like very well done? Does anyone have experience them with laScala!
For now, i have a leben cs300, but phono stage from leben is 2.5k$CAD, so instead of upgrading the leben, maybe i should go for shindo? for my laScala?
I tought about the Auriege mm preamp and maybe the Montille EL84 or the Cortese El34? not decided yet, still searching a place to listen to them in montreal?
Thanks for any info!
