  1. Seti, I wavered on posting or not, but the Klipsch Forum is a community dedicated to Audiophiles and collectors. I couldn't in good conscious not post the auction. The fact they appear to pristine HB's from the the last year of construction, I had to let the community know. If I get outbid, I get outbid, that means someone else wanted them more than I did. My only hope is that whomever is the high bidder, it comes from this community. KAK
  2. My sentiments exactly....Last year of the Original Heresy...all wood.... Guess I have competition. KAK
  3. I am not concerned about scams. Someone with a 1400 feedback is not a scammer. And sorry about this MAS, but how is waiting until the last minute to bid, only driving up the bid amount. People are going to bid their MAX amount anyways if a lower price is still showing in the Highest Bid window. By waiting till the last minute to bid, I am doing the same thing as Auction Sentry or Esnipe, I am just doing it myself by going to the Auction just before the end. It is quite simple really, put a 5 minute notify on your Outlook Calandar with a link, go the auction, check the time remaining, set your stop watch, enter your bid and hit confirm in the final 5 to 10 seconds. Its not rocket science.
  4. They may not be unused as the listing says, but they are lightly used at the most. The Tags on the back can tell us all that. They have seen little, if any, of the light of day. The tags are not discolored or yellow and anyone that has seen old paper...or old klipsch's speakers knows that those tags (especially ones that old that have seen sun light) would be discolored if they were out of boxes.
  5. Paul, I have not bid, because I know how ebay works and someone will get tempted to spend more than the initially wanted by the Tricks of Ebay. When there is something I really want, I wait until the last 60 seconds to place my Maximum bid (which is already determined). If the bid amount is above that at the time, I walk away. As for being new...thanks for the insight about the plastic...I will ask the seller. As for a rating of 1400. My sister has a rating of over 1000 just selling her kids toys, clothes, he old clothes, stuff they don't use anymore and stuff for neighbors. It is possible to do, but I agree that research needs to be done. Regardless, from the photos they look to be in great shape cosmetically. KAK

  7. Thanks for the welcome Everyone. I have had a HT set-up for quite a few years with speakers from that Canadian Competitor that starts with a P. Back in 97 when I did the initial set-up, those Studio Series Speakers were great for HT and will still be used. I am planning on doing a second 2 Channel Set-up just for Music Listening with the La Scala's as the center piece of course. I have an Adcom GFA-5400 Amp that I will use for now. Should be Adequate but I need to track down a nice pre-amp. Watching an Aragon 24k and Aurum both on Ebay. Someday, I will probably get to tubes (this is going to get pricey) but gotta pay off the Contractor whose finishing the room before I spend to much money...and of course the wife wants a new car too LOL. 8. Live in Northern Indiana and had La Scala's in both High School Choir room and College Fraternity House. Always wanted to buy them, never had the room. Now that I have my own home (with a nice large attic 25 x 45 that is currently being finished for HT/Audio listening) it is time try and locate a pair. Willing to drive up in a region from Cleveland to Chicago, Central Michigan to Indy over to Columbus. PM or email me if anyone sees a pair. Thanks,
