something else looks different on the satellites though. i think the pm 5.1 satellite doesn't have the little bubble in middle of the cone like the pm 4.1 do. what does it do?

i'e had problems with my pioneer slot loading dvd rom 16x
oen thing is that when i'm playing ff 8 on computer it fails to read th cg sequences completely. often its playing the cg sequences and it has to restart the sequence sometimes because it fails it read it properly or something, sometimes it would be able to play the cg sequences but it is extremely jerky. i know that it is the dvd rom drive because i can hear the drive restarting and winding up for the cg sequences. but my other complaints were that when it drive is running you know its running its pretty loud soemtimes it vibrates my case and my only other complaint is that the darn drive gets really hot. when i'm done playing a dvd it is hotter than my hard drive. but it just muight be that i have a bad drive but if i were you i give the pioneer tray drive a try first.

it sounds like your set is really jacked up. try e-mailing amy or dan f for help.
really none of that stuff happens to my set. but you check to see what set you have by going to teh back of teh sub and check above the place where teh power plug is, it should say what set you have. it probably says promedia 4.1

yeah me too that's funky, i don't have the switch or detachable power cord! i bought mine the next day after it went on sale. maybe they have a different revision or something eheheh like the different amps the v2-400 got, one was higher gain louder than the other.

2) my set is pretty hot too sometimes when i touch it a couple seconds later i feel the burning sensation in my finger tips. i have mine on all day too but whenever i leave for long peroids of time i turn them off and unplug the speakers from the outlet. i think i'll just put one of those small house fans behind the sub.

what helped me was muting the microphone volume. try this turn the volume handle on your pro's all the way up don't play anything so have no sound coming out, you can hear the hiss right? now mute the microphone volume it cuts my hiss in half but i have a sb live value 4.1 so it might be a little different for you but try it anyways see if it helps.

hi i'm planning on changing my speaker wire and i was wondering what kind of 16 guage wire you guys used for yours and what about monster cable i can't seem to find the gauge #. does monster cables have a gauge #? how much feet should i get?
oh yeah about the 1/8" plugs where can i get those?
are bannana plugs teh saem thing?
should i be looking for 16 gauge wire? oh yeah one more question how much did it cost for the finished product?

does anybody know how to connect the 4.1's to a gaming console say a ps2 or a n64 something like that?
how do i even get started to connect the pro's... do i need special wires and plugs....
well if someone knows please help me cuz i'm really curious to find out what it would sound like!

well i can't really help you here in your situation because i haven't heard them both, but since the 4.2 cost $360 why not wait it out a little for the new 5.1 that cost $400... you get an extra satellite and a bigger sub for 40 bucks... i see some people say they like having a sub in front and a sub in back using the 4.2's but anyways since you plan on watching alot of dvds 5.1 might be more logical...

yeah the amp is a class a/b amp not b its in between a class a and a class b atleast that's what i remember

i like my music with alot of bass so i got the 4.1
go with your personal preference since you got a chance to test them both out and you like the mm-2000 go with it!

i forgot what it was... well the main point of it was something that may sound like heaven to one person but it may sound like hell to another person.
so its was something like that oh well you get my point
just make you sure you don't regret your decision.
