  1. Hi, I found another interesting thing. Please look at the aluminum can and check the relative positions of the character "h" and the position of right arrow. On the real one, they are a little far from each other, while on the fake one, they are pretty much close (both laterally and horizontally). Search google images for "Klipsch s4i image", and you'll see a difference.

lol. My carrying case is made ??of steel..not aluminum. I checked with a magnet.I guess the genuine S4s come with aluminum carrying case.
  2. Here is what is the situation with me: On the left earphone the logo is completely gone and now the chrome already started to fall, but the right earphone still look brand new.Seller on eBay who said "The left earphone is defective or that they forget to put a last protective coating over their logo on the headphones" is right, only that he had forgotten to say that they are 100% fake :-) When I put them in my ears for first time I noticed was a sound signature of all overpowering bass with no definition in the mids or clarity in the highs.I was very disappointed.I wanted to have headphones, not subwoofer for head :-) but now, after 1 month and 100 hours burn-in they sound good (not amazing like genuine S4s but good).Only have sibilance on some vocals, but I listen Electro House and there are not many vocals.I am confident that the earphones I have are fake but it's not cheap copy, if this can be comforting for someone.

  3. This happened to me also!!! I bought it from German amazon. The logo faded away after only 1 day use!! The sound is not so good even after 3 days' burn-in. Klipsch should give some indication of how to recognize a real s4i and a fake one. THANKS.

How you bought fake from German Amazon? I bought mine from ebay. I think Amazon is one of the authorized dealers and I would buy from them.I now refuse to buy from an online seller.Klipsch can't give some indication of how to recognize genuine and fake s4 because they have only genuine, but I think that they can donate a pair of genuine, so we can see the difference and enjoy the great sound :-)

I will try to show you the differences that I saw on my fake S4s:

    1. When i opened the box, I noticed it came with 4 pairs of different ear tips of which 3 are in a plastic bag.The genuine come with 3 pairs of different ear tips of which 2 are placed directly in carrying case.

2.Differences in the logo on the back of the headphones.

  4. Mmh... Judging from the time Amy is taking to post a reply to this thread, I'd say there's definitely something wrong with the (original) S4 series... Should the complaint be groundless, they'd immediately confirm it, which has not happened as of yet... Mmh, indeed...

I doubt that there is a problem with the original Klipsch S4.Problem is not only fading logo.Having carefully examined my noticed a few differences with genuine.I would describe them but it's hard with my bad English :-)
  5. Hey Yoshimano! Could you kindly tell us if you bought your pair through an authorized reseller?

Now you guys have me wondering if my pair is legitimate.. but I'm a little weary of spending $80 in order to find out. The bass is on my phones is a little weaker than I like it, but I've read other reviews that have reported the same issue.

P.S. The black Klipsch text on mine basically rubbed off out of the package.

I have no problems with the bass on my headphones is even too loud. The main problem is that no definition in the mids or clarity in the highs.I'm sure that they are fake but then I got a full refund I'm no longer angry.I can even use them sometimes, though I hate fakes :)

I hope that your headphones are genuine when they sound so good.Fading of the logo is not decisive whether they are genuine or fake. With my headphones on the left side the logo is completely gone but the right side still look brand new.

  6. Be very leery of buying off of ebay or unauthorized resellers on Amazon. Knock-offs are all too

common (from Klipschorns to headphones - this is not a new practice by any means), although we are working diligently to address the issue. The

best course of protection, as a consumer, is to always buy from an

    authorized dealer.

Hi Amy.I apologize for my bad English but I use Google Translate to write here. After reading many good reviews for Klipsch Image S4 decided to buy them.First I looked for authorized dealer for Bulgaria and I was happy that it exists ( AUDIO ARTE & HD STUDIO) but when I asked them told me they don't offer this model. Then I took on an ebay from a US seller for $60.00 and when the package arrived I found that I have received just a cheap copy.I told the seller about this problem and got a full refund. Now I have a counterfeit headphones bonus but keep searching original Klipsch S4.On the Klipsch website I found some authorized online dealers but they either do not offer shipping to Bulgaria or shipping exceeds the value of the headphones.I'm not ready to buy them for $200.So my question to Amy is why it is so easy to buy counterfeit and so difficult or impossible to purchase original.I think that Klipsch should pay more attention to the distribution.
