Hello to all ! I am new to the site. Vintage speakers are especially facinating to me. I need a little help and this site seemed to be the good place to come.
I recently bought an Electrovoice " Georgian" Not labled but definitely a K-horn with the speaker mounted from the front instead. I have an Empire 15 inch with a massive magnet that I could use but it occured to me that I needed a Klipsch speaker with a 3-4 ohm impedance. I found a Klipsch K-33-J on the bay. Somebody please tell me whether the K33 is the best to use because of it's impedance. Thank you. I hope that I can contribute here.
Klipsch-like Electrovoice Georgian. Empty Box.

Just got an empty Georgian. Looks like and functions like a K-horn. I do know what Electrovoice put in the low end,but if this front loaded system acts like a K-horn, should it not need something like the K33e woofer with a 3.5 ohm impedance? Doesn't that design raise the impedance of a speaker? If this is a bad guess, then someone please tell me what to put in this thing. Thanks
