  1. I'm still very green to all this and learning as I go

This is a great community to help with that. Lots of very knowlegable folks that are more than willing to share their wealth of knowledge. We were there once too.

So I've noticed. This place is a great tool to learn knowledge. Just finished up some yard work and angled the 61's down toward the seating area. Now once the misses is done with homework I can test it out!

  2. hahahaha! Nah, don't have the 82's yet! I was supposed to have picked them up saturday, but unfortunately I'm told they aren't arriving until tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed! Also, thanks for the advice, I'll angle the speakers down tonight when I get home. I had read somewhere they they needed to be tilted up so the sound can bounce off the ceiling and then back down. I'm still very green to all this and learning as I go. I never thought so many people would be commenting in my thread!

  3. Very nice system! I would look at some of the internet direct subs over the SW 112.

    such as?

Also, the reason for the SW 112 is due to the fact I can get it bnib for $350

  4. I am leaning toward selling the SW-450 I'm using now, it doesn't have the punch I want. I think the SW-112 may be in my near future, as soon as I sell the SW-450. Probably have an ad in the garage section soon.

  5. First off, I didn't expect to have so much input, you guys are great!! I was supposed to have the RF-82's this weekend but have gotten pushed out until tomorrow, hopefully. I did mean UPA-200, got my letters a little twisted. For now I have the amp in the box and think I will just use the Denon I have now to drive everything. Once it's all installed and had a chance to be broken in I'll most likely look for a dedicated pre/pro. Anyway, this thread is worthless without pictures right?? :)

  6. Hey guys! Recently pulled the trigger and completed my surround sound, for now. I'm running RF-82ii's in the front and RB-61ii's for the rear. Center is RC-62ii with a hopefully soon to be upgraded SW-450 for sub. So far so good, with one exception. I recently purchased an Emotiva UMP-200 and failed to realize my receiver (Denon AVR-790) doesn't have pre-outs. I know I should have looked first, but I could have sworn it did. Anyway, I'm looking to upgrade the receiver now to something that will support the amp. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I would like to keep it ~$500 since I just dropped a bit of coin on everything else.

    Thanks in advance,

    Charles
