I had the chance to compare them both, listening in direct comparison.
And it felt like listening two completely different speakers

The differences between RF-7 and RF-7 MKII are even huge about sound quality.
But I won't believe that this issue can directly been taken over for those small RB-81

I ask, because between the RF-7 and the RF-7 MKII there is a very huge difference.
And the price differece between RB-81 and the MKII is about $ 200

I've one more question.
Is there a huge differece between the RB-81 and the RB-81 MKII?

I found the RB-81II in cherry, so I think, my configuration for the near future will be
RF-7II front
RC-64II center
RB-81II rear
Now I go out the next few days, looking out a bit..

Thank you for your hint.
I've been looking for the RC-62II and the RC-64II already.
Your recommendation is, what I expected to hear 8-)
As Model for rear I only found RS-52II and RS-62II.
But they look very small to me. And I found them only in black colour.
Because my RF-7II are in cherry, I think this then looks very uggly, isn't it?
Perhaps you even could give me an alternativ idea for the rear...

I also own a pair RF-7 MKII and plan to extend through a 5.0 Surround System. I'm not shure about wich one to use as center or rear speakers. OK, to use a third RF-7 as center, as seen in this thread, is not an option for me.
What would you recommend as center and rear speakers?

Ad we all should know, listening is the most subjective thing, because it depends on the listener and his ears. I had so many discussions to friends, about different line ups of amps and speakers. I guess there will never be a "happy end" 8-)
Still waiting for my RC-64 MK II. 8-p
