I have a set of Promedia 2.1 that I've had for a while now. For the price, they are terrific, but I kind of do want something more now. I recently set up a set of hideously expensive studio monitors next to my Promedias, and surprisingly, the Promedias are not far off in terms of audio quality--they're at least close enough for me.
The main differences seem to be that the midrange is recessed, and the highs seem somewhat rolled-off. I was wondering if say, a rear port on the satellites would fix this? Does my suspicion seem reasonable*? Furthermore, this seems like it would be a small adjustment that Klipsch would need to make on future revisions of the Promedias, so why not do it?
* from pictures, the iFi satellites seem to be ported, and their midrange was supposedly smoother than the Promedia line.

Indeed, I would like more volume out of the satellites. Seeing as they don't do much of the bass, the midrange would be enhanced, but perhaps less so.
