Since it is my first I was thinking the Denon avx2100 Two r28f R-14s R-12sw R-25c I can get that for under 1000. Just want to make sure the receiver is ok to start with? It seems like it will work but I'm open for others I can get that for less than 300. Let me know if I'm missing anything I would need on top of that. I'm not against a 3.1 either. I'm here to see what people that have been doing this have to say. Ya I understand most of the people on here have probably been around the block and had a few systems. I like to learn but my budget is low for now and I figure if I get a few years out of whatever I buy then it's worth it to me. Whatever I end up with will get used and can always be sold in a few years. I'm no audiophile or at least not yet. Right now 5.1 will be fine but I would like the option to go to 7.1 when I can. I'm just beginning to piece this together and come up with what I can spend so I'm not a 100% sure what that is yet. As for what I want obviously good sound quality but I'm pretty new to this spent more time on car stereos than this. I haven't had a home theater system before but not looking for the best but something that would last for a reasonable price. Location is Iowa in the cedar valley area. Looking to start putting together my first home theater. I plan on using the r26f or r28f Klipsch speakers along with the surround speakers and center channel from the same line. I get a good discount on them making them a lot cheaper than normal. Those are the only choices of speakers I have as an option and to fit within my budget I'm using my discount on them. I will also be getting he 10 or 12 inch woofer also. But I need to find a receiver to suit them.
