  2. Morning gang......a happy 2016 to ya all.....

I see my wife has been here this morning while I was still sleeping.....was up late watching tv.....

Soooo the plan for the day is, were picking up a KLF-C7 that I found on the CL last night. The ad was less than an hour old. E-mailed my man and he got right back to me. We have to drive through DC.... I hate DC.......but it looks good and for $150 I think it's a good deal.

I don't really have a HT set-up......got a older Yamaha 5.1 reciever. I use my Forte's for the front and got some small bs center. It's not even a center channel speaker it some book shelf speaker with a 4" woofer. Should be a good up grade.

Maybe I'll get some rear speakers this year.......when I get some rear's I'll up grade the reciever....

Well just spoke to the guy....told him I'll be there around two....should be good to go...

Starting off the new year getting a KLF-C7 for $150...... seems to be starting good.....

    Check-in later.....

    MKP :-)

Told the kids ROAD TRIP! Gotta break them in early!

  3. New Year’s Reflections

Looking back on the months gone by,

As a new year starts and an old one ends,

We contemplate what brought us joy,

And we think of our loved ones and our friends.

    Recalling all the happy times,

Remembering how they enriched our lives,

We reflect upon who really counts,

As the fresh and bright new year arrives.

And when I/we ponder those who do,

    I/we immediately think of you.

Thanks for being one of the reasons I'll/We'll have a Happy New Year!

You are a great deck of cards! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  7. Merry Christmas "and god bless us everyone" as spoken by tiny Tim.

My husband is an audio addict. It makes him happy, and I certainly benefit. His love of klipsch led him to this forum.

He is now part of a community that means so much to him. He has laughed and cried and mourned and celebrated with everyone. Every day includes you, his friends, klipsch comrads.

You are so great. I am so glad he found you. Life can get real serious and overwhelming. And then you have the forum!!! Lol. You are always there, at a keystroke.

    Merry, merry Christmas!

  8. this was a creation of MKP's mind. scary, huh?  when we peeled the layers of tape off, he was laughing saying "this is either gonna look really really good or like complete and utter sh*tt!"

a couple springs ago, i mentioned that i would like to have a suzuki samurai.  i only said it once.... he found one. asked some lady in a shopping center as she was getting out of it 'are you going to sell that thing?"  and, of course (because he has a golden horseshoe up his a$$) she said yes, next week.  he got it,   he kept it hidden at a buddy's shop - worked many late hours in the hot summer.  would come home wired and excited.  i knew something was going on.  it was my surprise birthday present!  painted the rims, bought new KO's, even custom fit my bull bar from my old fj40 landcruiser.  she is a little beast.

this truck stops traffic. lol  the used car lot next door HATES when we have it out front, because everyone asks them "hey is that sammy for sale?"  and they multiply like rabbits.  anyone the had/has one would stop in and tell their story.  we 'acquired' 3 more.  when people ask about mine - we tell them they can buy one of the others, but everyone wants the camo one!  meanwhile - the others have very little rust and mine is a rust bucket!  but it is sooooo cool...

i love that truck!  now i get the motor upgrade!   oh yeah, "we need to put a lift kit on it first to accommodate the oil pan"   this man sure knows how to spend money.....

Oh, well, I like it, I like it, I like it -- as the stones say.

  9. santa trucked in early this year.  the newly acquired geo tracker will donate its engine to my existing suzuki samurai - built and painted by MKP :-)

he has been trolling the internet and local hokomo freddies classifieds for several years now.  this is THE motor swap for the samurais -- for my truck.  mark builds relationships everywhere he goes -- i know a guy that knows a guy.  this guy was on medical leave from the trans shop, rebuilt one of our samurai transmissions for some ca$h.  mark was asking him about his tracker.  it was his daily driver.  whenever he decides to get rid of it, he'll call.

this morning -- benny goodman BLASTING out of the shop -- the guy walks into the bay as mark is walking out of the office (like out of i love lucy).  i point to the bay, so he goes in to find out who walks into his bay from the street...

low and behold -- greenie -- the trans guy with the tracker.  $300 and it is mine.  whole truck.  awesome.

  10.

Appears detel and better half has found some new party friends, they should all be well versed in Bartending for the Hope event.

I tend to go in the direction of party people, there usually the fun ones  :)

As far as bartender goers, I drink alot of shots and things just on the rocks so any monkey can pour out of a bottle, when partying keeping it simple is best for me.  :D  :emotion-19:

no?  he looks like a fun, like-to-party kinda guy....
