Thanks for the quick review. The only downside to the Sony's for me would be I go to the gym a lot and they are not ip rated for getting swear / water on them. Not talking waterproof but you know, sweat and splash proof at least.

I'm going to wait for my T5's to arrive, still no shipping email but I sure hope they get the app out there soon so that firmware could be delivered properly and maybe fix the synching issues.

I was concerned about the lack of ip rating as well. I bought them from Best Buy so I added the Geek Squad insurance just in case. That should get me through the next year until the MX4’s come out.

I haven't seen to many reviews on them but I did see two new ones on YouTube. Call quality isn't amazing on other wireless buds either. But pairing problems are a big concern. I did see one reviewer mentioned the first set would never pair so Klipsch had to send him another set.

Not going to lie, the Sony wf 1000 xmx3's are looking good at this point. They also seem to be reviewing well. I hope Klipsch has the application out soon. I'm hoping a firmware update can alleviate some of the pairing issues or general problems.

I got my Sony WF-1000XM3 on Monday and they are really great. Both the Sony’s and the Klipsch have their pro’s and cons but I love them both for different reasons. Sound goes to the Sony because of the noise canceling and the configurability with the Sony app which allows ambient sound if you need it. Pairing is easier with the Sony because they show up as one device as opposed to the Klipsch that designates a left and right bud. Range goes to the Sony but versatility goes to the Klipsch because the buds can be worn on either ear where the Sony’s have a designated left and right bud. Case is smaller on the Klipsch. The Klipsch definitely needs the app to update it’s currently buggy firmware and unlock its EQ/ambient sound features. Hopefully it will release this month from what I’ve heard.

I talked to Zach (I'm pretty sure that was his name) in customer service about my inability to pair my iPnone X with the T5 earbuds. he provided the following procedure:

    Forget devices on the iPhone.

Put both earbuds in the case.

Press both buttons and hold for eight seconds to reset them. The lights should be the same color or off.

Take the left earbud out of the case and pair it with the phone.

Then take the right earbud out; it should pair automatically.

It worked! Not right away - I had to give it a couple of tries - but both buds are working now, and now they pair with the iPhone automatically when I take them out. What's going to happen the first time I try to pair them with my laptop and then try to go back to the iPhone,, I dunno. But at least I can use them now, and (like everyone else) I'm hoping for more stability when the app and an update arrive.

Zach is a really great guy. He helped me during my issues.

Ah good to know. I'm excited to get these! I've been using my jaybird x3's at the gym and I can imagine the T5's will sound so much better.

Once you have achieved a good seal they sound amazing . Surprisingly strong bass with great sound isolation.

This worked for me as well. Thank you!!

Just a note for anyone having issues - make sure the lights on both buds are purple (blue?) and then pair just the Right one. It should then ask you if you want to pair the Left as well.  Don't try to manually pair the Left one.

This fixed it for me. Press one of them five times, press the other five times and it does indeed turn kinda purplish. Then just sync the right one, and your phone will then ask to pair the left one. Shame it took tech support going to that guy's house to figure this out. Shame, too, that the instructions literally have bad directions, in addition to insufficient directions.

It's funny that my tech support rep had no idea about the pressing 5 times. He kept having me press them 3 times each and try connecting the left as well as the right. He kept saying it didn't matter which one you connected first the other would automatically connect. When he contacts me again I'll let him know about the 5 presses on each bud to reconnect them to each other.

I am curious if anyone has managed to connect them to a second device without causing them to unpair from each other?

I ordered on July 2nd. My order status still says processing exported. Not sure what that means. When I ordered I saw a charge on my credit card. But it's been a while now and it seems the charge has dropped off my card.

Did this happen to anyone else? Will it charge the card again when they ship? I hope they did not lose my order as it still shows up on my Klipsch account online.

Same happened to me and my card was charged after they shipped. Don't worry

I ordered them as soon as preorders went live on the klipsch site, and they shipped yesterday and just arrived today.

I'm having trouble getting both headphones to connect at once though.  I did it at first with my phone, and then I tried to connect them to my laptop unsuccessfully, and now I'm unable to get them to both connect to my phone at the same time.  The instructions (as sparse as they are) say click the right button 3x while both are inside the charger, but that didn't do it.  I tried factory resetting, forgetting the devices on my phone...  not sure what else to do now.  edlex, k9kids, you guys or anyone else have any idea?  Thanks

I had the same thing happen when I tried to connect them to my Apple Watch after having connected them to my iPhone. I called tech support and they went through the same reset and re-pairing process but it didn't work. I got off the phone and continued to reset and re-pair until they finally connected to my phone again. Something about connecting to a second device disconnects them from each other I assume. Hopefully when the app goes live this will be addressed with a firmware update. I'm still waiting for a call back from tech support so I'll ask if there is an ETA for this fix.

  8. Well I just got them and, with the large tips, they sound amazing! Surprisingly great bass with very clear mids and highs. I can’t wait for the app to really dial in the sound. You guys are going to love them!
