  1. Hello guys

I am really done with the stupid Klipsch support and I hope someone here can help. The support is only giving genreic answers to have the latest firmware (which I have) but does not answer if this issue is known or even fixed in a new firmware.

I am using the Fives for more than a year now and I have issues with the inputs. The Fives are connection trough HDMI with my TV. Besides that I have paired mobile device over Bluetooth for music streaming. The input is always set on TV but the speakers turn on automatically and switch to Bluetooth and connect with a mobile device. Even when I manually switch the input to TV it changes to Bluetooth again. Sometimes even when I turn them off they turn on again on Bluetooth. This is very annoying. The last input should have the priority and bluetooth should not be able to overwrite my input just because there are paired devices.

Same here, I was hoping to replace my Bose SoundTouch 300 soundbar with the Fives, I use my Roku remote but the results were the same. Any time I needed to change the volume level I found that I had to hold down the volume up/down buttons a lot longer than before, not only that I found that I was constantly changing the volume level every time I changed channels. It was so annoying that I stopped using them. I'm hoping that Klipsch can correct this with a firmware update but there hasn't been a new update in awhile.

I wonder if it down to TV, speaker or remote. Maybe a universal remote change this but I dont want to buy one just to try this

Out of curiosity have you tried an optical cable instead?

Could it be a case where your TV volume or a setting for it is set incorrectly?  Do you have the TV speakers turned off and the audio output on your TV set to 'fixed' or something along those lines?

Optical makes it even worse. Sound is here but volume control shows the scale on the tv without changing the volume on the fives

  4. Hello team

I am new to this community and also new to the HiRes sound topic. I decided to ditch my soundbar for the Klipsch The Fives and heaving better and clearer sound instead of surround soun. I bought the speakers a few day ago and I'm not regretting anything. The Fives sound very nice. I am now also testing Tidal and would like to have the best possible experience with the sound quality. As written I am pretty new to this topic and not sure what I exactly need to have the best possible quality. Currently I won a OnePlus 7 Pro phone which supports aptX HD and LDAC but when streaming over Bluetooth I honestly have to say that Tidal is not much better than Spotify. It's louder but when I adjust the volume to the same level I think it's the same quality. But I also think that even with aptX HD and LDAC the bluetooth connection is not really transmitting the CD quality. Or are the difference not so big as I thought?

In the internet I read a lot about network streaming, DAC and so on. Therefore some questions. (I have to mention that I like my setup as clean as possible)

Based on the specs The Fives have a built in USB DAC. Does this mean I can connect and old phone directly to the USB and use my current phone with Tidal LINK to remotly control the phone on the speakers and I will have the quality I want?

Another case I am thinking of is buying the Fiio M9, connect this directly to The Fives and also control the M9 with my phone and Tidal LINK. Will this scenario give me better sound?

    Thank you for your help.

    Regards,

    Marko
