  1. Perfect! I already have everything to make all new wiring! Thank you
  2. The original owner did the upgrades (A Crossovers and CT125) I'm the third owner. Unfortunately the person who I bought them for doesn't have the original crossovers nor tweeters. I like how they sound, I'm just making sure I get the best of my mids and tweeters. That's why I was wondering if I should rebuild, clean or leave them alone. What about in regards of the right AWG? What wire size should I should I use? For some reason my speakers came with 12 and 14 gauge.
  3. Just got a pair of Klipschorns! I have a few questions in regards of the internal wiring, mids, tweeters and crossovers. - Is 16 awg good enough for rewiring my speakers? Or should I go with something like 14 or 12 awg? (The current ones aren't in good shape) - For my mids (k55m) and tweeters (CT125), is there a rebuild kit? Should I take them apart to clean it or should I leave them alone? When I took everything apart it was pretty dusty inside. - I currently have Crites A Crossovers, could I eventually upgrade the same crossover to an AA one? I attached a picture of my crossover. If someone could answer my question, I will appreciate! Thank you in advance Ed
  4. @Bacek @jcn3 I attached pictures of my tweeters and mids.
  5. I will upload some pictures as soon as I get home. So you guys can tell me, thank you in advance!
  6. I should be picking them up today, I will upload pictures as soon as I get them.
  7. Hi there! I recently upgraded my Klipsch Chorus ii with a nice pair of Khorn! I'm the third owner, the original owner upgraded the crossovers and tweeters with B&C tweeters and A crossovers. I was under the impression Khorns should use ak-3 crossovers. Am I missing something? Should I upgrade to AK-3 crossovers? Not sure if I'm getting the best of my speakers with A crossovers. Any advice will be greatly appreciated ! Thanks in advance. Ed
  8. Definitely will do! I'm still setting up few stuff. Thank you!
  9. I decided to apply a polyurethane coat to protect the paint, and unfortunately the method that I was trying to do didn't work with my speakers, I just wing it, sanding as much as possible from the brush strokes and applied bee's wax. And I'm happy (ish) with the results. And they sound beautiful!
  10. Thank you! I just did it with a 50lbs fishing nylon. Good recommendation tho.
  11. Thank you! It takes time, but definitely worth it!
  12. Genius! I'm going to do the same! Thank you!
  13. Just a picture of my progress! I'm 90% done! Just letting the paint fully cure (7days), doing small touch ups here and there. I haven't put the grills on yet, those magnets are stupid strong, does anyone know a trick or something I can make to pull them off? I don't want to pry the grills (had to do few repairs of missing edges). I'm probably going to do a new post explaining the whole process.
  14. I was thinking on using wall texture to recreate the texture on the back and front of the speakers, but after evaluating it, mines are in good shape, so no need to do it.
  15. Definitely! I just started painting the bottom and the removable base, I was hesitant using a foam roller, but man, I followed the instructions and the results are great! I was able to apply two coats and still see the grain pattern. Tomorrow I will upload more pictures!
  16. It's going to look good for sure! I have been prepping them for 4 days, now they are ready for paint!
  17. Satin or semi gloss? I feel like the came from factory satin, am I right?
