Thanks for the help so far!
Â
$750 was for the pair of RP-8060FAs but I think I've ruled them out. It's a great deal but ultimately, I think I'll splurge once for the RP-8000Fs rather than potentially regret my decision later on. And yes, the Denon AVR-X3700H can process 11 channels but can only power 9. I'll have a separate "crappy" amp for the second set of Atmos speakers since they require very little power. I think I'm just about set though I'm still wondering about the RP-600M vs RP-500M for the surrounds. I think I'll get the 600Ms if I can get a good deal on them. This won't be the final room for everything as it's our first "starter" house. I'm still dreaming about that proper projector theatre. 😉

Hello, my wife and I are renovating one room on our first floor and plan on turning it into a theatre. It's about 15' long by 12' wide with 9' ceilings.Â
Â
My current plan is to go with the following equipment:
- LG C9 65" TV (already owned)
- Denon AVR-X3700H receiver (already owned)
- Klipsch RP-8000F left & right
- Klipsch RP-504C center
- SVS PB-1000 Pro sub
- Klipsch RP-600M surrounds
- Klipsch RP-600M rear surrounds
- x4 Klipsch R-1650-CSM in-ceiling Atmos
My main concerns are whether or not I should switch out the four RP-600M surrounds for RP-500M since I feel the 600Ms are a little overkill for surrounds and whether or not I should bother with the RP-8000F towers instead of putting RP-600Ms in the front and adding a second sub. A second sub could come eventually anyway but I'm concerned about how much space everything is going to take up in the room.Â
Â
The room is going to be used for movies and TV about 90% of the time and with that, a lot of it is streamed and 5.1 which is why I'm unsure if I should save the money on the surrounds even though I know the Denon receiver can do a pretty good job of upmixing to the absent channels. What do you all think?
Â
Edit: As a side question, someone local to me is selling a pair of basically open box RP-8060FAs for $750. The upfiring Atmos speaker in each would go unused but the value seems to good to pass up. Would those be a good choice for my mains?

Thanks! The RP-8000Fs, the SVS PB-1000 Pro, and the four R-1650-CSM ceiling speakers have been ordered! Still waiting for some deals on the receiver, center channel, and I'm still deciding on the surrounds. At this point, I'm leaning towards RP-500Ms for the center surrounds and possibly even RP-502S dipoles as the rear surrounds.

Does anyone have any experience in that configuration?Â
