  1. I know its 2 years late but maybe it will help someone.I had the same problem until i found out it was a setting you had to turn on. You have to turn on the "Extra Bass" Setting in the Manual Speaker Configuration Menu of the Yamaha.

I've tried to run the auto speaker setup but no sound emits from the subwoofer when the test signal sounds are to be emitted.

    My RCA cable seems to test for continuity and I've tried a second cable as well.

    What else can I do at this point?
