My Onkyo TX-NR7100 is an excellent receiver, unfortunately there is a bug in the current NR7100/RZ50 firmware. With a 5.0 or other layouts without subwoofer, the subwoofer signal is sent to the front speakers without Dirac Live correction. That means a boomy room is corrected only in Stereo listening mode. A provisional workaround is to turn the LFE signal off and set center and surround speakers to full range. So far, attempts to contact Onkyo have been fruitless. I feel they are in the progress of rebooting, emails either cannot be delivered or you are fenced off. Especially no good experience with https://support.onkyousa.com/hc/en-us/requests There you talk to a chatbot, the ticket gets closed without resolving or escalating it.
