I sort of had a similar question, about RF-5 and RC-35, and the response to me was that you would then want to upgrade the center, though your setup will work fine as is. At 300USD which I think is about the exchange you should probably just scoop them up, especially if deals are infrequent where you live. What are you using for mains currently?

Well I ended up getting the center as well, it was priced pretty fairly so I got it so I have something now. Are there a few commonly recommended subwoofers for setups of this size?

Hello, I have a pair of RF-5s I have been using as a stereo, and am now thinking about moving them into a HT setup. I am considering picking up a used pair of RB-35 and an RC-35 and was wondering if these would work well as a 5-channel setup, or if the RF-5s are just too much speaker and would overpower them. Also, if I do end up going this route I would be needing to grab a subwoofer, any recommendations there? Thanks!
