  1. Not sure. It really nay not be practical. I'm thinking about installing a THX or Ref Series II in wall system for aesthetics and keeping the Khorns in the rear for aesthetics. Maybe hook the record player up to the. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I found the large speaker setting and tweaked the crossover based on the frequency response of the quintets. I also confirmed I have Quintet IVs. We watched the new Robocop movie tonight using Pure Direct audio and it sounded pretty awesome. However I can definitely tell the Khorns are way under utilized in the rear... Sigh. 3. I thought pretty hard about this yesterday. I actually suggested to the wifey that we flip the room. She was not very fond of this because we have a fireplace below the TV. She prefers to face the fire place. So now it's down to relocating the patio door (currently in the front left corner) and tearing out the built in shelves to put the Khorns in the front corners. 4. Wow. I'm impressed with the response times on this forum. The original system is a Klipsch Quintet (v3 I think, Purchased in Feb 2010). Unfortunately my living room layout will not accommodate Khorns as the FRONT L/R. On a side note I noticed in surround mode that the bulk of the audio come from the center channel. I found the crossover setting per youthman's suggestion. Default was 200Hz. I set it to the lowest setting (40Hz). I was unable to locate a "large speaker" option but will keep looking. To test I put on some dubstep via Apple TV and set the receiver to 7ch Stereo and 7ch Enhanced. Both produced a noticeable amount of bass from the Khorns. Unfortunately not a lot of the netflix content we watch is available HD surround audio. So we use the 7ch modes quite frequently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I have a pair of stock 1984 Khorns that received from my father. I have set them up as the left and right rear of a 5.1 home theater surround sound powered by a Yamaha RX-V665. I have run them through every sound field program and I am unable to get in bass to come from the Khorns. I assume it has to do with some sort of custom configuration of the receiver. Is there some sort of pass through setting that will send low frequencies to the rear channel? I believe the Khorns to be in good working order. I heard them a month ago before I moved them when they were powered by my Dad's 1984 Luxman. They had plenty of umph then! Overall they have been well cared for and not abused over the last 30 years. I appreciate any help from the gurus here. Thoughts?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
