Hello,
I have an out of warranty X7i with 3-button remote. It’s not working so I’m going to attempt to replace the jack myself. Looking through this forum, the closest I can find to the wiring diagram is a post by remy on 8/12/15, however the colors on the X7i are a little different.
Attached is my photo, from left to right (4 sets of channels):
left: blue wire with nylon?
left middle: copper
right middle: blue and red wire with white insulation-copper wire
right: reddish copper
Deconstructing the original (I did accidentally cut some wires) it seems that:
the white insulation-copper wire from the right middle is for the Left (?)
the blue and red wire also from the right middle is for the Right (?)
the copper from the left middle is for the Ground (?)
and the blue wire from the left is for the Mic. (?)
I’m not sure what the reddish copper wire on the right is for (?)
Can someone kindly confirm, if this is correct.
