Finally got my speakers switched out after a long process. After configuring my system again, decided to test out the decoder. Put in a DVD with DTS and switched on digital output and made all of the necessary changes to output in DTS. Still had to crank my control pod up to 70 to get powerful sound. In comparing the two (digitally decoded DTS vs. analog 5.1) I have to say analog 5.1 sounded better and fuller. The DTS version sounded flat and sourcey (could tell dialog coming from center channel, left, or right channel). Where in analog 5.1, everything seemed to blend better. Not sure if my settings need adjusting, or maybe my player, but hopefully there is some sort of adjustment I can make. Any suggestions? Also curious if anyone knows of any Dolby Digital, DTS, or THX type configuration DVD's or files you can burn to DVD's. Curious if I can run one of these to max out my settings for optimal sound.
Thanks,
