  1. Actually, I have heard the best floor standers that KEF carries at UE-- $4,000.00 a peice. It was nice even with the 12" Sunfire Woofer. But I still think that Klipsch sounds clearer as far as its full surround setups go. Yes, we do all have nice rigs. I apologize for any negative comments. sometimes I get outta hand too. But my point was that Shuttles are far from obsolete- that is all. Go to www.gamepc.com the Shuttle is featured there...View the reviews on Shuttle if ya like. But to sum it up we all have NICE rigs, and I know that mine is not the best. So lets leave it at that. plain and simple- OK.
  2. NOW YOUR BEING A REAL D**K!! DON'T start making assumptions about other people-- DARTH!
  3. GUESS WHAT.... The Shuttle I was telling you about has arrived- SB61G2 It has a 800Mhz FSB, which means It will have no problem with a PCI combo card. Look at its other specs at www.shuttle.com, but it still uses a 200W PSU...
  4. OK..... CAN'T you guys even take a joke!? You get so worked up over the smallest things. GEEZ!!!! RELAX A LITTLE, UH!!??
  5. WELL...here is my new views on Home Theater. NO KEF NO Martin Logan NO Infinity NO Definitive Still researching the others--- Have yet to hear them and decide on my personal preference. Of course, the Klipsch HTs kick ***!. Avalon!? that is something NEW- is that a KEF system?. I will have to research that--- after all that is how one learns. I am sure Sounds Like Music or Showcase will have them.
  6. HELLO.... This post is long over due----I am done with it OK! BTW- Nice rig. But the newer ICE CUBE SFF kicks its *** and so do the newer Shuttles that will be comming to the market very shortly. LOOK at the front BUS specs on the Shuttle. But for the moment, EAR, your rig is very nice indeed, but not worth my time. Did you know that you can get a card that will do all the work of (6) PCI Slots in a single PCI or AGP Slot!? Another thing. That Sony TFT SUCKS! I prefer NEC, VeiwSonic, or Sharp TFTs---- they are much better! Go to Frys Electroics and have a look for yourself. And Sony TVs for that matter are not anything special either-- Sharp or Toshiba is the better brand. FOR TVs, TFTs, and the like Sony is NOT the better choice. Your just buying the label, kinda like the pathetic BOSE! BUT I am, however, a definite PS2 FAN-- in that area they are KING! HAVE A NICE DAY
  7. ACTUALLY... I knew it was not a PC, DUH! The Earth Simulator is a SUPER COMPUTER. I was testing your knowledge... It took you this long to reply!? WOW!!!! but ok...smart a** THEN tell me something--- WHAT IS THE FASTEST PC RECORDED? I'll give you a hint- it is a prototype made by a very popular computer company, and NO---NOT SHUTTLE!
  8. First off, Ditch to Z-560s they don't even compare to 4.1 PMs Second, I have not yet heard the Megaworks but I have heard the 6.1 120W Creative setup- my bro has it- it doesn't even come close to the 2.1 PMs. ALL creative pretty much suck! I would go with the 4.1 PMs but they no longer make 'em. Try going with the 4.2s (dual 2.1 PMs)or 5.1s-- if your gonna go out an spend a bundle on something like Creative Megaworks you might as well get the BEST-- 5.1 PMs or 4.1 PMs.
  9. I just figured...that since many of you have Reference Series systems and the like for home audio..that you might know a little more. Besides I feel that there is more information HERE, since I will be utilizing it for my PC! I am trying to reproduce the 2.1 PM setup through home audio. Using two Bookshelfs, the KSW-10 or KSW-12 Woofer, and a Yamaha or Denon Reciever. That is why I posted here. Any pointers on this setup will be greatly appreaciated--- I have talked with reps at UE and they said that it would be the best way to go if I just wanted two main channels and a Woofer and then going through a reciever to my PC. ANY SUGGESTIONS.
  10. I have decided to NEVER post anything that is off topic again. Secondly, I was just playin' round with you guys-- Now to the real topic. How to the Synergy Series Bookshelfs compare to the Reference Series RB-15s and RB-25s?? I have heard the RB-15s and RB-25s with the KSW-10 and the KSW-12 at Ultimate. They sound pretty nice. I have decided that the surrounds are not good if you are only utilizing two--I played my own CD at Ultimate on two SS-1s with the KSW-10 and trutthfully, it sucked. Then we tried it on the SB-15s and SB-25s----VERY NICE. So, how do the Synergy Series compare???? Once again I am sorry...if I pissed you guys off.
  11. Actually, INFINITY...they suck compared to the Diamond Audios or Boston Acoustics or HiFonics. I have heard all the Infinity Setups at UE. and they don't even compare to the Bostons- they suck when it comes to base. And for home audio, Infinity does not even compare to Klipsch! Don't even talk Infinity, they are not even in the same ballpark- at least not anymore. *LOL* From what I can tell...if you haven't heard of Image Dynamics, Diamond Audio, Dynaudio, LINN, Sonus Faber, FOCAL, or HiFonics....then you are the one who knows nothing about AUDIO! BTW-- I can do a fully loaded HiFonics system for $750.00 (worth $2,000.00) You can't beat that-- and it is compareable to a Diamond/JL Audio System- it would make your Infinity System cry like a baby! RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH-- is the Key to Knowledge! Apparently, no-one here does that!
  12. NO...Darth did NOT! #2 the fastest PC on earth is, The Earth Simulator, located in Japan (I think)...it runs at an amazing 40 Teraflops/sec there is nothing faster. It uses a prototype graphics engine that won't even be available to the public for another 10-15 Years! Secondly...you bombed on the Firewall question. It is Firewall-1 made by Check Point Software Technologies....the most powerful network firewall in the world! www.checkpoint.com HEY, they even have Firewalls for the Home User. Actually, the best server to use would be a D.I.S Quad Server. and the program...probably, Carnivore with EtherPeek. The OS (on a normal PC)...Black-Hat Linux or a Unix OS. A "sneaker's" dream! Though very expensive! Good Job on the Binary Translation and the SONET/DSH answer-- which can max out at 2.4 Gbps/sec!!!! OUCH!!! Actually it can get faster... Lemme think of some good ones and I will get back to ya. Another thing...about intellectual superiority. MED SCHOOL says nothing about computers---DUMB A**! School, for that matter, and degrees say NOTHING about your skills! MMM...I hope none of you get an E-MAIL from me-- it wouldn't matter if you deleted it, cause it would already be to late. But then again it is not like me to hold a grudge. I just don't like idiots who talk about what they don't know. *LOL*
  13. For CAR AUDIO to compare to the 2.1 PMs you would need to get a mid to high-end system say Diamond Audio 6.5" M6 SPKRS x4 JL 500W Woofer JL Mono AMP JL 4-Ch. 600W AMP ---that is a $2,000.00 Setup or HiFonics 6" Components-Warrior Series x4 HiFonics 350W Woofer HiFonics D-Class Mono AMP HiFonics 4-Ch. Zeus Series Amp ---That is another $2,000.00 setup (which I can do for $750.00 NEW!) YOU can do the math on the midrange--- and nevermind about a fully loaded Image Dynamics System! $$$$$
