  1. Hi all I presently own a Klipsch KSW-15. Yes I know it's not like the reference models but it has served me very well. I'm looking to upgrade to the current reference series and my budget will afford me the RW 12d or the RSW 10d. In comparison to the KSW-15......what do I get from each of the above models in reference to home theatre bottom end. I use the sub strictly for home theatre and nothing else. Bottom end performance.....say 20hz to 32hz is what I mean. Thank you kindly
  2. Thanks very much EAR. I'll take your advice and ask if I can take one home and give it a whirl with some of my movies. Quality and a more linear freq. response would definitely get me to upgrade. EAR, in your humble opinion would the RSW 10d play the lowest frequencies more forcefully than the KSW 15? []
  3. Hi people. I'm hoping you experts out there can help me. I have a KSW 15 sub now for 4 years. I do like the unit quite well but was thinking of selling it and moving up to a reference RSW 10d. What would you guys feel the differences would be going from a dynamically powered 800w 15 incher to dual 10s (active and passive) with 1200w dynamic power? Some things to look at for instance.....bottom end fs and bottom end volume etc. I only watch movies and music won't be heard on the system. Any thoughts? Much appreciated.
  4. Thanks TheEAR. I now have to hear the RSW-15 and try to secure a decent price. I believe the foundation to a good HT system would probably start with the sub and HT receiver. Thanks again.
  5. I am new to home theatre and I need some knowledgeable advice on upgrading from my current subwoofer. I have a Klipsch KSW-10 and am looking to upgrade to a KSW-15. Sorry for my very simplistic question but what performance improvements should I be expecting? My purpose here is strictly for home theatre and not cds. Another question would be, how would a KSW-15 compare to an RSW-15? Any other subs for a reasonable price I should be looking at? Some of my movies are AOTC, Gladiator, Apocalypse Now. Thanks much for your advice.
  6. I'm interested in upgrading from a ksw-10 powered sub to a ksw-15. My first question may be a bit simplistic but bear with me, I am very new to home theatre. What bass improvements will I notice for 5.1 dvd movies? In otherwords how much more performance should I expect? Second question, how do you guys feel the difference between a KSW-15 and an RSW-15 is? Any other 15 inch subs you can recommend? I appreciate your help. Some of my dvd movies are...Star Wars - AOTC, Phantom Menace, Gladiator, Apocalypse Now.

    Ksw 10

I have a ksw 10 and I'm quite happy. Soon I will go upto a ksw 15 and I'll stop. Any further for me will not be necessary. I'm lucky as well. Too much upgrading will not get you better and better performance. Mmmmm On second thought I'll get a Krell Master Reference sub. No, Sorry....I just checked what's left on my credit card and my last pay stub. I think I'll stick to the Klipsch ksw 15.
