Hi guys, Now i got a big quesiton here. I´ve heared that Downfireing Subwoofers are the best way to get the best "Bass Performance" than direct way (front fireing). So my Hifi dealer says to me, -I DONT KNOW- ?!??!!? iám going nuts what i got to buy!! now iám testet a direct fireing subwoofer from my friend he has the "Jamo D6-THX-Ultra" with an direct fireing bass-driver(front). these Subwoofer has no bass-port, but the sound is very clean ! but i´ve missed somethink....the deep bass !! what a mass... there are some other problems, i´ve heared. that you have to placed that suboofer idealy to get the goodest bass reproduction... (what is that ?!?!!) and more problems. the best bass reproducion is when you exactly sit only in the "best sitting" position. so now, whe testet a downfireing subwoofer "Klipsch KSW-12". and the diverence was unbelivebl... you can go to any sound position what you want, walk in the room and so on.. the bass is everytime clean,deep. (that for shure). Result: i find the downfireing Bass Technology is much impressiv than direct wave system. try it ! or help me what i have to buy.... BTW: i got a room with 47qm²

okay okay, folks, i buyed the 2nd center. Result: now it´s much better. the sound presence is biger, lifeness higher.. but... you got right STL. there are an another problem with the sound reproduction. but i solve that i placed the center(s) speakers in front off, not in the middle in under the screen. so i put one center 20 degrees left and the other one 20 degress right sidewards to the front L/R speakers. now i get louder the front speakers (+2 in my ampfiler) and it works nice! the impedance should be no problem. i solved to 8Ohms with an koupling procedure. in the next time, comes a picture from the System.

SCOOTERDOG you got a center! ,there where no problems with washing effects i think what do you think over 2 center speakers, i got a big screen (projection screen 300 inch). and what do you say, may solve that problem what i got? manny thanks

Hi Folks, now iám testing a system with 2 center speakers. i added the same center speaker to my system. i though.... the fat problem is often that, in the middle of the screening the sound is "very small and emty" i mean there is often a "sound hole". i have a projector with a screening size of 300inch so the main problem is when a car or music reproduction is playing or you play "Audio DVD" , there is often a "hole" in the screen and the sound presence is... i testet with some DVD stuff, when the singer or in a movie, somehing goes from the left to the right side "effects" through the center, i think there is something missed... often is a sound hole, between center and the speakers (Left/Right) side. so i buy an 2nd center speaker to fill in, to get out the sound hole. and..... perfect !! works nice ! ok ok, in cinema there´s the same system. that be used while the screen is very large. so the voice/music is often in the middle and the sound presence is very stupid with one c.speaker. better be 2 center than one try it

hi Klipsch fans, now i´ve got a big question. In the next time, i want do buy a new subwoofer. I like deep bass with heavy -SPL- (Sound Preasure Level) down to "shaking" frequencys. (ouu yeaa!) I´ve got the Klipsch KSW-12, but they play not so deep frequencys but they very loud! So there are the brand new RSW-12 with double bass system active Radiator and one passive radiator, i´ve heared that thing by a Klipsch dealer.wow nice ! but i need more power btw i readed in some magazines there are SVS-Subwooofers they go´n down to 15hz !?!? with up to 114db and more. So now, my friends any ideas what can i buy other firms ?!? (Please dont say B&W) manny thanks

ok thanks for the information. >dougdrake< i´ve heared that are problems with the powerslumpy, bud i can modify that thing. so, my next question is, what do you think what for a subwoofer can play down to 20Hz ? RSW Series ? or what subwoofer can i buy to get these 20/21hz ? manny thanks

My KSW-12 is good, but i´ve seen the LF make frequencys to 18Hz !
