  1. Yeah, unfortunately I am having space issues with large speakers and need to sell at least 1-2 pairs. I also have a pair of Thiel CS5i's I am selling as well as some Mirage M1s and Large Magnepans as well. Might think of keeping the Khorns if the Thiels sell as they are on opposite ends of the spectrum.
  2. I do have the grills. Right now the original drivers are mounted to them. I will include the original drivers in any sale.
  3. Up for sale are my ALK modded Walnut Khorns. These have extensive modifications to perform like no other Klipschorns I have ever owned or listened to. Well over $2k in mods to include: Beyma CP25 tweeters ($300); B&C DE85TN Midrange Drivers ($460); Eliptrac 400 mid horns ($525); 2 part crossovers with the ES5800 tweeter XO ($420) and the AP12-500 woofer XO ($350). This is all connected by pure silver internal wiring. The result is the cleanest, most dynamic and most musical Klipsch speakers I have ever owned or listened to. (I've owned, on multiple occasions at that, almost every Klipsch speaker model out there with the exclusion of the Jubilees. These out-perform them all, to include the Jubilees, in my opinion). Mods raise the efficiency to 107db. The 2" throat on the mid horns eliminate the horn shout that some find displeasing leaving you an extremely open airy speaker that actually images quite well! These have all the qualities I always loved about the Khorns (dynamics, etc), without any of the effects I did not like (horn ringing, limited imaging, etc). These Khorns have a serial number of either 3G039 or 36039 (see pic) which I believe places their vintage around 1969. I would rate them in good condition for their age. Speakers are available for audition and purchase in San Antonio, Texas area. These would probably be cost prohibitive to ship. Considering the cost of the mods, I am asking $3200, which I believe to be a bargain. I might consider a trade plus cash, depending on what you have. Email if interested. Addendum: I will also include the stock midrange and tweeter horns in my asking price.
  4. Yup, I'm west of New Braunfels about 10 miles. Saw Chris Isaac across the street from the Gistmill at Gruene Hall a couple of years ago. Nice area.
  5. I'm about 20 miles north of San Antonio in the beautiful Texas hill country. Come on down and get some real BBQ.
  6. I have a pair of white ones still in the box after my move that I might sell. Email or shoot me a PM if interested.
  7. Well, hate to be fickle, but recent events have me putting these back up for sale. Email if interested. These are extremely well built and heavy but I am positive if you listen to them you will want to take them home. Tremendously revealing and dynamic.
  8. Flawless inside and out. You simply cannot find a better example of this legendary preamp. Great phono stage, tape monitoring, excellent ergonomics and beautiful craftsmanship. Being offered at a great price for $250 obo. If you want a high end preamp and at a more than reasonable cost, this is it.
  9. Legendary Nelson Pass Dual Mono design. Very high current and dead quiet; even into my modified 107db efficient Klipschorns. Many believe this to be the best sounding amplifier Adcom ever made. I agree. It will drive pretty much anything out there as well. Truly bulletproof. I have 3 of these and am willing to sell 2 of them. All are near mint. $185 for each amp. This is a world class amp literally for peanuts. You can't go wrong with this amp! A couple of reviews below. Note this is the version II with modern 5 way binding posts. http://www.stereophile.com/solidpoweramps/adcom_gfa-535_power_amplifier/index.html#7HDBQLhov6Xl3Hsu.97 http://www.highfidelityreview.com/adcom-535-power-amplifier.html
  10. Cambridge Audio Azur 840a V2, integrated amplifier. This is an high end XD digital integrated amp. Extremely smooth and built like a tank. Dead quiet. List was $1699. Asking $650 obo. Great Review Here: http://www.whathifi.com/cambridge-audio/azur-840a-v20/review
  11. Less than 2 months old and has the following improvements over the stock unit: 1. Had a second set of pre outs punched in chassis (factory option) 2. Upgraded all capacitors to long life, low ripple, Panasonic capacitors 3. Upgraded coupling capacitors to Sonic Cap Gen 1 4. Upgraded volume pot to high quality Tacos Cosmos 5. Upgraded all internal wiring to 19 AWG clear jacket Kimber Kable TCSS 6. Beefed up ground rail at all RCA connections 7. Upgraded all resistors to 1 percent metal film 8. Ran direct link from selector switch to RCA's Transcendent Sound Grounded Grid Preamplifier: This is one of the cleanest sounding preamps at ANY price. If you've never heard one, you owe to yourself to check one out (somewhere). You will never find a bad review of this preamp as the design is legendary. You can google multiple reviews of this and go to the manufacturer's website for additional data. I'm sacrificing this one for $685 shipped. (which is over $300 less than the stock unit and this one has a lot of upgrades). Email if interested. Also, please check out my ST-70 tube amp for sale in another ad as these two are a perfect match.
  12. This is a very new (less than 2 months old) Triode Electronics ST-70 tube amplifier. Fully built, operational and sound glorious!! You can read about the design here: http://www.triodeele...70buildkit.html Improvements over the stock design are as follows: Installed Solen Fast Caps in the driver board Used 18 awg teflon coated hook-up wire throughout Installed 1 percent metal film resistors throughout Installed Deltron banana speaker inputs Using low noise RFT tubes in the driver board I'll include the 4 Electro Harmonix EL-34 tubes in the price. This was built for me by a very detailed (obsessive actually) audiophile and sounds as good (actually even better) than it looks! Un-built kits cost $749 but I will sell with tubes for $675. You simply can't find this quality of amp near this price. I'm also selling a new Transcendent Sound Grounded Grid preamp (which works extremely well with the this amp) in another ad. Email if interested. Amp is available for audition in the San Antonio area.
  13. Bump and price drop. $225 shipped. Email if interested.

  17. Selling several more pieces of my audio collection. These will hurt but must be done... This is a very new (less than 2 months old) Triode Electronics ST-70 tube amplifier. Fully built, operational and sound glorious!! You can read about the design here: http://www.triodeelectronics.com/st70buildkit.html Improvements over the stock design are as follows: Installed Solen Fast Caps in the driver board Used 18 awg teflon coated hook-up wire throughout Installed 1 percent metal film resistors throughout Installed Deltron banana speaker inputs Using low noise RFT tubes in the driver board I'll include the 4 Electro Harmonix EL-34 tubes in the price. This was built for me by a very detailed (obsessive actually) audiophile and sounds as good (actually even better) than it looks! Built versions usually cost several hundred more but I will sell with tubes for $850. You simply can't find this quality of amp near this price. I'm also selling a new Transcendent Sound Grounded Grid preamp (which works extremely well with the this amp) in another ad. Email if interested. Will ship anywhere in the U.S. via FEDEX ground. Amp is available for audition in the San Antonio area.
  18. The Polks, Class D Amp and Audible Illusions are sold. The Audio Nirvana Speakers and the Quicksilver Amps are still available.
  19. Little known about in the U.S., but well known in European High End circles; this is a high end British Integrated amplifier that rivals integrated amplifiers in the 10K range. Extremely smooth and detailed with the utmost refinement. Built to very exacting standards, this is one Integrated Amplifier that is ready for any state of the art speakers you choose to match with it. About one year old and in perfect cosmetic and operational condition. Will come with original box, manual and remote. New cost was $4500. I'm asking for half of retail cost ($2250) This amp has great drive capability and adjustable gain control per input. The Sonneteer Orton Mk IV will be the centerpiece of your audio collection. An audition before purchase can be arranged or I can meet interested buyers between San Antonio and Austin. Can ship anywhere in the U.S. and I do accept Paypal. Long time perfect feedback on Audiogon and other high end audio boards. I've include some reviews for those unfamiliar with the brand. Might consider trades for speakers or a very nice turntable. Email if interested. http://www.hifiwigwam.com/sonneteer-orton-integrated-amplifier/ http://hifipig.com/sonneteer-orton-gets-mk-iv-status/ http://www.dougbradyhifi.com/p-1665-sonneteer-orton-v-integrated-amplifier.aspx
  20. Well, was able to sell my other big speakers (Polk LSiM 707s) so I can proudly say these are no longer for sale! :-). Didn't have room for both and these are really everything I want in a speaker. I think I will enjoy these a long time. They sound a lot like my modded K-Horns. As good as it gets!
  21. *Bump* and price drop. For Klipsch Forum members, I will drop this to a flat $2500. These are mint and ready to provide someone a lifetime of listening pleasure. Must pick up though (bring a large vehicle and a strong friend). :-)
  22. Selling off a lot of my audio gear, to include my gorgeous mint Polk LSiM707s. I fell in love with these after auditioning these at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in Denver in 2013. They were clearly superior to most $10k and up speakers there and the fit and finish was truly in the Sonus Faber, Thiel, etc, arena. If you have never seen or heard these in person they are in a different stratosphere from anything Polk has made before (and I love the old SDA/SRS and even newer LSI-15s and 25s which I have owned). I am offering these with original manuals, boxes etc for $1875 for the pair. This is less than half their $4k retail price. I will not ship though as they are cost prohibitive to do so. Speakers are located in San Antonio, TX. I am willing to meet for a handoff with my audio brothers from Texas or perhaps Louisiana to make the sale a bit easier to conduct. Feel free to email me if you have additional questions. Speakers are available to audition in person as well.
  23. Yeah, I know I will regret it but I can barely move in my audio room with all the speakers I have already. The Polks I am selling are incredible as well and also mint so I will be happy either way with what is left and think I will late fate decide. We'll see which sells first.
