  1. I had a crackling thing happen to my old reciever. I found that if my reciever (IR window) was in the sun or if there was too much electrical interferance it would make a crackling noise.
  2. Try a program called alcohol 120. I believe that's what it is called. Appearently it will copy exactly what is on the dvd, protection errors and all. So you will get an exact duplicate. I haven't tried it but my buddy says it's amazing and works great.
  3. As some of you know I have the same message posted in another catagory. I thought I made my dicision. The RSW15 but now there is the PB2+ I totally forgot about. I will wait for DillonW to get his. When do you expect to get it Dillon?? You guys always come up with something at the end.
  4. I made my dicision I will go with the RSW15. I know I am going to end up watching more concert dvd's then I will movies for now . Once I get my LCD projector I will grab the svs's. I'd rather have the punch for now. You guys have been a big help along with all the other great threads. Thanks
  5. Well as long as it sounds great and p---es off the grumpy b---- next door I'll pick up the rsw15. I definitly should ask NOZ if I could check his svs's out. The thing about ordering the svs is the shipping cost will be extemely high since I live in canada and I don't want to pay 600 bucks for shipping . I will tell my dealer that I'd like to borrow his rsw15 and ask NOZ if I could compare the rsw15 and svs at NOZ's place if he's up for that. I have not yet talked about it to NOZ but plan to. I don't want to impose.
  6. That is the sound that rocks. When you are 100 yard away and you can still hear the movie that is rockin'. With my old setup Cerwin Vega e12's and the bookshelf speakers for surrounds and a cerwin HT12 series sub you could walk outside with the door shut and barely hear anything. Although when I did move out of my parents house (long time ago)because they were moving. My dad told me that alot of the light panels and plug pannels were missing screws and had fell out because of my "loud music". I can't wait 'till he hears this system:) That reminds me when I grab either or of those woofers I'm crankin' them. My neighbour next door is such an ***. She complains about every godd--- thing. Just because her son own the house we're in now she thinks she can come over here and b---- at every little thing. I'm gonna give her somethin' to ***** about. Since the HT room is in the back of the house I won't be able to hear the knocking at the front door. how unfortunate. I hate b----y nieghbours!

  8. I've read alot of posts about these svs and I know you that m00n was looking at selling his rsw12 possibly for a svs but instead kept it(I take it). With the RSW15 are you still going to have that earthshattering shake? If I decide to put the pod race on and walk out to my front porch will I be able to feel the sound. I know one guy was saying when he picked up his svs's his buddy that was coming over could hear them almost 8 doors down from the "epicentre" and start to really feel it by the second house. Do the RSW do this??
  9. Thanks for all the responses. I've been doing alot of research in the Klipsch forum and found alot on this subject. It looks like it comes down to a choice of punch or gut wrenching bottom end. Although I love the punch of a good kick drum (eg.Lars' kick on the Loaded album. Although I'm not that big of a fan for the album it is definitly well produced) I also love the rumble of Sebulba's Pod. It is a real dilemma.
  10. I'm located in Toronto Ontario. No one within a 500 mile radius seems to have them. I will definitly check out some older threads. thanks
  11. At this point space doesn't matter my girlfriend and I are moving in September to a much bigger home. I will definitly check out the "Outlaw". Earthquke subs, do they compare with the ones mentioned above? I don't really want to spend much more then 1500-2000 dollars on a sub.
  12. I neglected to buy the RSW15 because lately I've been hearing alot about these svs subs. I currently have the RS7 set(which is overkill for the room I'm in currently (20x12ft) but I like things LOUD!!) up without a sub; it sounds greats as it is now. But I really need to get a sub, nothing beats feeling and really hearing a movie. I've heard the RSW15 and it sounds just f---ing great; but never have heard a SVS unfortunatly. Which sub is overall better: RSW15 or the SVSPCPLUS 16-49. Or what would be comparable to the RSW15 by SVS. Any comments or answers would be great

  14. I am so not impressed by Bay Bloor radio. I went there around Christmas, the sales person I delt with was a prick and then some. Just because I have long hair and a metal shirt on he neglected to show me any of the things I wanted to see. They have special listening rooms for good speakers I told the guy I'd like to check 'em out. He said they were to expensive. That's when I politely told him he was a prick and left. Hamilton never tried that. What would be a good price for a RS setup in Canada.
  15. I just purchased a Onkyo reciever(TX SR800) a couple of months ago and am very pleased with it. Now I want to upgrade my speakers. But I can only find one dealership in Toronto. The sales person is extemely helpful and very knowledgable but I think he wants a bit too much for the set up I want. I told him I'd like to purchase the RF7's, RC7,RS7's and the RSW15's. He said he could do that for around 6000 canadian. Now am I getting hosed? If you had 6000 to play with what set up would you get for a surround? Any advice and help would be much appreciated.
