  1. KhornKerry: I'm not sure what type of veneer. They were painted black. My understanding is they came out of a small theater. Unfortunately the Type on the label has faded also.
  2. Here are the serials that were stamped in the side. 8P127 8P128 The mids are k55v and the tweets are k77m.
  3. I will get some pics up this weekend. Thanks to all for helping me out and the kind words. I'll post the serials tonight. justin_tx_16, I'm in Dallas. PS, The gentlemen I purchased them from has to two Mcintosh MC-50 monoblocks that he is willing to part with
  4. It doesnt matter which company you ship with (FedEx, UPS, USPS, or DHL). They all have flaws. Bubba "six pack" doesnt care about your shipment and will fling it on a conveyer belt with out a seconds notice. Pick any company you want for delivery. The only thing that gets it there on time or undamaged is....HOPE.
  5. I purchased my first pair of Klipschorns today:) I had to travel in the grueling Texas heat for 175 feet! My neighbor and his wife have decided to "down size" and he asked me if I would like to purchase them. I offered him 1200 and he said, how about 800 and a beer. I love Texas:) I've wanted a pair for 22 years. I've had Fortes and La Scala's but, you can't beat the sound of Heaven. When my wife first saw them, she was flabbergasted by the size. The low WAF was in full affect! I asked her to sit on the couch and have a listen, she's SOLD! I have browsed this forum for years and I hope some of you can help out on the date they were made. The serial number was written in red ink and has faded over the years. I can give the name of the inspector. I haven't "popped" the hood to see what the model numbers are on the mid and high horns. Peace out, Towelie
