Hey guys,
I found out it's not a power amp.IT's a crossover.
Does anybody have any feedback on this item?
I still might buy it.
thanks

Today I saw a klipsch M4 power amp for sale.
It looks to be about 25 years old +.It has a silver face
with black klipsch logo.I wanted to know how many watts it pushes, how old it may be and if it's worth $40.00.
Thanks

Thank guys for your help;
I belivie the k-43e is only 200 watts cont,400 program and
800 watts peak.
The J.B.L woofers are good,But I've fried a couple in the past.
The peavey woofers are field replaceable, which would save
me money if i do blow them.
I only want to travel with two speakers for small to mid
size gigs and the amp i use for the lows is 500 watts per
chanel @8 ohns.
I"m bypassing the x-over for the woofers in the la scalas
hooking them straight to the woofers since I'm using a
active x-over
But I do use the passive x-over in the la scala for the
horn and tweeters and they sound great.

Thanks for the help.Peavey only makes one 15 inch low rider. The item number is 004937710.I think they also make
a 15 inch pro rider that is also 800 cont.1600 program
3200 peak.
If this is the case ,what will be the rigth replacement?
And why should i use a 4 ohm woofer as the 1504 ?
I have 3 woofers on each chanel. That drops my amp to 2.6
ohms.I only use 3 woofers on each side for large gigs.
One of the reasons for changing the woofers is so i can
bring one set of speakers.which i chose the la scalas.
they sound great.

I've heard time and time again that i was putting to much
power in my la scalas.I've had them for years,I used them
at block parties, clubs and halls,in a bi-amp system.750 watts for the lows and 200 for highs and i've had no problems. My question is"Can i change the 15 inch 100 watt woofer to a 800 cont. 1600 program 3200 peak woofer made by peavey?
I don't want to blow the k-33.
And don't want to crack the la scalas cabinets.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I double check the speakers and here is what i got.
speaker #1 s/n 108274 p/n 09000/11200 w/u 22625
speaker #2 s/n 108273 p/n same as 1 w/u same as one
Also do you guys think i'm using to much power for the
lows by bi-amping?
my sp2-g's can handle 400 watts cont.
the la scala as you know handles 100 watts cont.
The cs 1000x is 500 watts into 4 ohms per channel.
I have one la scala and one 2-g per side.
It seems like the peavey takes most of the power.
and the la scalas as you know.Don't need that much power.
Does klipsch make a 15 inch woofer that can handle 300 to 400 watts cont.?I would love to replace them.
And I'm more that sure the cabinets can handle them.

I just have a couple of questions for you guys.
1-How old are they?The s/n is 108274.It has a type al-3 x-over in them.
2-What size woofer is in them? When i got them,I did open the bottom to see if the woofer was a klipsch.it was.It also look like a 12 inch woofer. But as i check out the
forum and some say it's a 15 inch.

Thanks lynnm for the heads up on the caps.
Do you really think it's to much power?
The cs-1000 is 500 watts per channel into 4 ohms.
THE peavey sp-2g's woofer is rated at 400 watts cont.
whaich takes most of the power and the la scala is rated
100 cont.which i can't belive.
I've done block parties with one la scala and had no issues.
But if you say it's too much,I'll watch it.

I JUST GOT A PAIR OF LA SCALAS AND I USE THEM ON MY BI-AMP
DJ SYSTEM.I DRIVE THE LOWS WITH A CS-1000X PEAVEY POWER AMP AND THE HIGHS WITH A CS-200 PEAVEY POWER AMP.THE LA SCALAS SOUNDS GREAT.I DON'T HAVE TO PUT ALOT OF POWER IN THEM AT ALL.MATTER OF FACT I JUST USE THE LA SCALAS FOR LARGE VENUES.
THE LA SCALA SOUNDS GOOD FULL RANGE.BUT TRY BI-AMPING THEM,YOU WOULD BE AMAZED.

125 per side is nothing when you're in a large club or outside.I know the la scalas are very good speakers. But I think it needs more low end.
Also it's very hard on ones back to be lugging around six
p.a cabinets. With the la scala if I upgrade the woofer I'll be able to carry less.
